Your impression of this place will depend on the room you get. We were traveling with another couple, who were given a lovely room. Our room, however, seemed to be furnished with old worn cast-offs. The inn keepers were not friendly or helpful. Would not stay here again.

I’m a Tour Guide and live out of Guest Houses and B&B’s. Gail who owns this is a delight, she bends over backwards to ensure every guest has a fantastic time. Everything is perfect, from the delightful rooms, cleanliness, chat, location and the almighty breakfast!! Elaine who will most likely serve you your breakfast is also very pleasant and makes sure you’re well taken care of. The location is easy walking distance to all the lively activities in Inverness. I wish I stayed here every time I was in Inverness but it books up quickly.

This BnB was our last stop after two weeks of travel. The location was easy to get to, with ample parking accessed around the corner. Our host, Gail, was very helpful, pointing out several places in town where we could find good food and not super expensive. She very thoughtfully prepared the sandwiches for us on our 4 AM departure for home. The room and ensuite bath were clean and functional. My wife noted that there were other rooms that were larger (and cost slightly more) in the house. I felt super comfortable and relax staying in our room. There were umbrellas at the front door for the guests which came in very handy during our stay. Breakfast was a nice selection of fruit and meat, eggs and if requested, a special oatmeal porridge prepared by our host. it was very good. If needed, laundry service can be requested for a reasonable charge. The river walk, and business area are just a short stroll down the hill. We took advantage of the beautiful river the whole time we were there. It is not necessary to take the car for in town activities. Unfortunately, the castle, which was even closer, was still closed for repairs until next year.

Gail was a wonderful hostess and I wish we could have stayed here more than one night! She was so friendly and made us feel right at home. She made some excellent recommendations for things to see and where to eat since we only had one night in town. Our room was really nice, we had a lot more space than I expected. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. There is a private parking lot kind of in the back which was really great. We had a wonderful Scottish Breakfast before we checked out and got to have both haggis and black pudding from a local butcher which was surprisingly tasty. If you're traveling in the Inverness area, I 100% recommend staying a Dionard Guest House. We had a great time here and would stay here again if we ever make it back to Scotland. :)

Gail, the proprietress, is an amazing resource for anything Inverness and the surrounding areas, you can confirm that with Rick Steves who mentions her in his Scotland book. Her hospitality is outstanding, as she takes a personal interest in your happiness. The guest house is located within walking distance of everything you will want to see and do in Inverness. Breakfast was fantastic, the room was very comfortable and the bathroom had great water pressure. She has a beautiful garden that is a great place to relax after a day of pleasant walks.

We stayed at the Dionard Guest House in Inverness for 2 nights in July. Gail and her manager Elaine are wonderful hostesses; welcoming, friendly and helpful in making recommendations on things to do and places to see. The mini-suite (room #5) was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is made to order and delicious. It is located only 10-minutes walking distance from the centre of town. Great private parking lot for guests. We highly recommend staying with Gail and Elaine at Dionard Guest House! W&T Peel

I can’t say enough about our 2 night stay at the Dionard Guesthouse. Gail, the owner, greeted us at the door and gave us a very warm welcome. She gave us a thorough tour and details about the house. Plus some great touristy things to do. She showed us to our beautiful room, which was huge! It was myself, my husband and our 10 year old son and we had plenty of room to move about, even with our luggage. The beds were very comfortable and bathroom spacious. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Plus the ease of walking to downtown and the river walk, it’s perfectly situated. We cannot wait to go back to Inverness and stay here.

Gale and Elaine made our short stay in Inverness a great experience. Tastefully and lovingly run B&B within walking distance of the centre. The breakfast was simply delicious. The welcome was warm and the room spacious, furnished with attention to detail.

We stayed at the Dionard for 2 nights prior to joining a wildlife trip as we have done several times before. The standard of service provided by Gail and her team is consistently excellent. You're sure of a warm welcome, a beautifully furnished and comfortable room and an amazing breakfast (we've never seen a buffet like it as well an extensive cooked one) It's quiet and well placed for exploring Inverness
