Excellent hosts and a very clean house.
We were made to feel at home for the minute we stepped inside.
Hand sanitiser available on entry and also a bottle in your room.
Room facilities were fine for the one night that we stayed.
Fresh bottles of water in the mini fridge and fresh mink was a big bonus.
Very large toilet with a good shower.
Very comfy bed.
Small tv but who needs a tv when your on holiday. Breakfast was huge... definitely set us up right for the journey home.
Highly recommend!
Thank you for having us and making us feel safe during these very unsettling times.

My husband and I took part in a cycling event today in Inverness and stayed at this fabulous B&B. We arrived later than expected yesterday due to traffic and Ann kindly greeted us in the car park, showed us to our lovely room and very kindly offered to make up a breakfast and lunch bag for me and my husband as we had to leave at 6am the following morning. We then rushed out to dinner and came back to sort the bikes out which were on the car and were then greeted by Gail. She very kindly let us put our bikes in her own private shed as it was raining.

They both really went out of their way to accommodate our needs and we are most grateful.

Our room was lovely and we just wish we could have spent more time there.

People often make the different in a holiday trip - this could not be more true of the Dionard Guest House. Ann and Gail were exceptional hosts who went over and above what would normally be expected. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious and varied, and our hosts expressed interest in our daily plans. They suggested restaurants as well as guiding us to visit local sights. We absolutely loved their infectious banter, and spontaneity. Ann insisted that we needed bottles of water and candy "for the car". You will not regret staying here and we want to go back!

Gail was Outstanding, From Offering Suggestions to Places to eat Inverness , to highlighting a great morning or evening walk on the Caledonian Canal, To Letting me Leave my Luggage after Checking out and retrieving it later in the afternoon due to a Rescheduled Tour. Gail’s place is in an Excellent Location only about a 5-6 minute walk To Inverness Castle and River and close to Great Restaurants and pubs. I Highly Recommend Johnny Foxes or Macgregors. For a Great Host, Great Location and a Good Breakfast. Look no further than Gail at Dionard House.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dionard Guest House! The host, Gail, is effervescent and extremely attentive. The manager, Bill, was equally attentive and wonderful to meet. Their greeting was warm, they allowed us to leave our luggage ahead of check-in while we went out to explore Inverness, and they made sure we knew the best places to see and eat. Gail even gave us a voucher for a free drink each at her favorite restaurant, The Mustard Seed, where we already had reservations! The rooms were very clean, decorated in lovely styles, and had special touches, like a jar of candies, a mini candy bar on the bed and a little light projector. A mini fridge is also provided. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options for hot foods as well as a lovely buffet of fruits, yogurts and sweets. Gail was happy to do some laundry for us. Bill helped us get a taxi when we struggled to get a call through. They were just so kind and, even in just a 2-night stay, made us feel like old friends. Inverness is very walkable and Dionard Guest House is near all the city attractions. If you enjoy Bed and Breakfasts, Dionard Guest House is an excellent option!!

We were a group of 5 cyclists, cycling from Oban to Inverness & we have, despite the Covid restrictions, had some great accommodation experiences; and we have been doing cycle trips for 10 years but the Dionard probably takes the prize for the best ever. From the moment of booking the accommodation Gail & Anne have been amazing hosts. Just brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. They take genuine pleasure in delivering an amazing service, from our bike storage, to leaving our cases on our final day for later collection, to offering us pots of tea in their lovely garden later in the day, way after we had checked out; fantastic breakfasts, the list goes on & on. Can't recommend Dionard highly enough. Just superb. Obviously!

This was the first time I stayed in a Guest House and it was one of the best travelling experiences ever. The owner Gail has the perfect balance of being personable while being informative about room info, local restaurants and culture. Some superb tips on well known, beautiful places to walk like Ness Islands, but also lots of info about other not so well known places that might be of interest...she is a font of knowledge. Her experience as a travellor informs Dionard, is like it's heartbeat, having spent a year travelling when she was younger. In all my years of travel no hotel staff ever came near this type of personal attention, hospitality and joy. Gail is from Inverness and her love for the area is infectious. The room I stayed in was perfect! This guest house has seven rooms and each is slightly different and I love that the decoration matches the house. Everything was immaculate and you can tell Gail takes enormous pride in Dionard Guest House as there were little details, or "wee details" as they say here in Scotland that were utterly enchanting. I had hoped to see the Northern Lights whilst here, a long shot, but still a hope...unfortunately that never happened but in my room, as well as all the rooms I believe, are these wee spacemen that shine a Northern Lights pattern / star on the wall or ceiling. When I asked about them Gail said something like "Here at Dionard you can find an Aurora inside every room". After my experience at Dionard Guest House I will never stay in a hotel again.

Dionard Guest house is in a great location when visiting Inverness, a ten minute walk to the city centre or the beautiful Ness Islands. A good private car park for guests, it is a great base for exploring the area.
The host Gail is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and amenities, she can guide you to local hidden gems. Gail will advise on suitable places to eat or accommodate you eating a takeaway in if that's your choice. The room I stayed in was well appointed, very comfortable beds and pillows. The ensuite shower room has a good shower and heated towel rail. The room was really warm and cosy in February.
I highly recommend Dionard Guest house for a stay and I look forward to staying there again.

This is what I want a B&B to be. It is very much a personal enterprise by the owner, Gail, and she shows hospitality in a lot of small details, from chocolate in the room to the way her porridge is served.

The Dionard is located within easy walking distance of the centre of Inverness; we could and did walk to two good restaurants within 10 minutes. Our room was enormous’ A couple of folded beds suggested that it is available as a family room; sometimes you get lucky. The condition was excellent and there was plenty of storage space. Breakfast is in two sittings, with orders for cooked items submitted the night before (though with a buffet for fruit, cereals, etc); the advantage of this is that everything is cooked and served absolutely fresh, and is excellent. While there are times for corporate predictability, on holiday, this is what I want to find.

Lovely warm welcome from Anne who made us feel right at home. Our room was lovely with lots of character and lots of space. Anne was very helpful and kindly arranged a booking for food at the local pub which was a 2min walk down the road.
We had a great evening meal and watched the football. First time in a B&B and this made me not want to stay in a hotel chain again.

Breakfast was lovely home-cooked food. Only a short visit but we loved our stay :)
