Stayed here on Robbie Burns night and I was greeted when I arrived by Emma, Kelly and Yolanda who were all very nice and took the time to check me in. They even laughed at my jokes but maybe they get paid to make their customers happy! The hotel is very nice and I stayed in a premier plus room for the first time and it was definitely worth the extra money to upgrade, nice fragrance in the corridors and nice touches in the rooms like mood lighting, nice table and chair to work at and a lovely comfy arm chair and foot rest to sit on and watch TV. They even have the new Baylis and Harding Goodness range in the bathrooms (I happen to sell it). The food was very nice, during the week it seems to be men on their own who are working in the area like myself. I really like using Premier Inn as I stay in so many hotels and the one thing that really annoys me about expensive hotels is when they have cheap uncomfortable mattresses but not at Premier Inn, I know I am always going to get a great nice sleep on a comfortable bed. This hotel is also in a great location to get straight on the main routes in the morning. All in all a great hotel to stay at with great staff.

Mmmm.....

Firstly the positives

This isn't a bad hotel. Situated around a 10/15 minute walk from Inverness with loads of free parking. Rooms are okay, not great. Breakfast was reasonable. Staff universally nice.

Now the negatives

Rooms were damp, bathroom towels never dried during the day. No air conditioning, while not a massive deal breaker in the winter is a major inconvenience if you get those rare warm days. Plus air conditioning would keep the rooms from going damp.

Stayed for 4 nights, and the in room letter said room would have a mini service on day 3, bins emptied which never happened.

Mmmm.....

This is most definitely a sub £50 per night property. Extra for a working WiFi, extra for a breakfast and you are easily paying well over £100 per night.

This hotel is not worth that.

Premier Inn need to up the standard or stop being so greedy. A working WiFi should not be an optional extra and nor should be able to dry your towels in your room in 24 hours be optional.

Better places to stay.

We stayed here during the Covid-19 pandemic for our car to be serviced and booked here for convenience more than anything.
On arrival the reception staff put us at ease fully explaining the protocols and directed us to the rooms.

The restaurant was only take away due to the restrictions, but breakfast was being served.
Both rooms were very clean, we had tea and coffee and the towels etc were left in bags.

Breakfast im thr morning was brilliant. Probably the best set up we have seen in the pandemic.

Our table was in the corner with screens around us and the next tables cordoned off. Staff either served in uniform, or cleared wearing PPE. The staff themselves were excellent. The breakfast was great and all served to the table, but the staff went over and above to mke us feel comfortable. I watched a lady sanitise, wipe down under and on top of the table, then spray the chairs on top, and then where you put your hands to move the chair.

Despite staying in more expensive hotels too, this was by far, above and beyond what we expected, and also vegter than the service we received in other highland hotels. Well done Premier Inn. You nailed it.

We stayed just one night prior to a trip on the Caledonian Canal. The web site states that there is no air con. Thinking this would be rarely needed, I booked. Unfortunately the booking was during a spell of warm weather, the room retained the building heat. I thought I would simply open the window. The building was a few meters from the dual carriage way which is a few meters from the railway line. Making things worse was the damaged surface on the road, producing noise with each vehicle. Needless to say we had a poor nights sleep.
On arrival we were told that the bar was open and simple box meals were on offer. After travelling all day we agreed to even a simple fare. Even the highly restricted menu had items missing. Bottled beer and soft drinks were ordered only for the staff to return saying that several items were "off" It was actually quite comical. The meals were served up in a cardboard box and plastic cutlery provided by staff in masks and visors. I felt like an extra on the film Chernobyl.
In fairness the meals were quite nice but served up in a box, in the silence of an empty room by staff OTT with PPE it was surreal.
I count 4 Premier Inns in Inverness; it should be less.
The staff tried to be helpful but the whole experience was poor.

This hotel was very clean. Health and safety complied above and beyond in this new Covid world. It was tastefully managed and none of the new regulations impacted unnecessarily on our stay . The staff team were great and very helpful. Breakfast was up to its usual high standards. Evening meals were available but were boxed up not plated . The staff helpfully directed us to other eateries in the near area where more normal service was available. Drinks were available at the bar but only bottles and cans. Staff were happy to provide alternative venues or offer ice for the room. After being slightly apprehensive about staying away from home I had a reassuring and thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Family of 6 stayed here for one night prior to going to Stornoway via Ullapool.
I done a bit of research prior to booking as I needed somewhere that slept 2 adults and four children.
I looked at various hotels/apartments in the area.
I rang reception and asked if they had any family rooms that interconnect. They explained that they do and said the cheapest way is to book online and call straight back and they will add it onto the booking.
This is what I done and when I called back she added it and confirmed it would be two family rooms with a interconnecting door.
On arrival I was told there had been a mistake and they do not have family rooms with interconnecting doors they are double Rooms, nothing was offered so I asked if we could have the double rooms and make up the sofas which would of also worked for us. I was told this wasn’t possible as these rooms had been reserved.
We were left with two rooms opposite each other with was useless as a family of 6, we had no other option but to drag beds from one to the other.

I told reception on checkout and got a poor response. Also complained and got two very snotty responses from the customer complaints team.

So I paid for two rooms and used one.
Not at all happy with the response given by complaints and disappointed in Premier Inn. It’s a company I did use many times per year for work and leisure.

In fairness the place was clean and lots of parking just disappointed with the poor responses.

Not a family that complains often and feel like we got a really poor response.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The first impression was not great as the buildings look tired, and look onto Millburn Road which is very busy and rather industrial. However the location is great - 20 mins walk to town centre, the staff are really welcoming and helpful, and the housekeeping is of a high standard. No complaints here although we agree with previous comments that the price per night is too high.

We stayed here for the first weekend in October and could not fault it at all. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome that it really made our break.
The hotel is in a decent location, a little bit out of town but a very leisurely walk takes you right into the town centre.
Rooms are quiet despite being close to a busy road and as expected, spotlessly clean.
We only had the continental breakfast as the food menu is limited due to the present restrictions and again, it was more than adequate.
Would we stay here again? We most certainly will whenever we are back up in the area.

We stay with Premier inn in Inverness regularly when visiting family in the area, but haven't stayed in this particular hotel for several years, choosing to stay on the outskirts usually. This was booked last minute due to unavailability at our usual choice but it was as good as we could have expected. Since our last visit they had made a few changes, mainly to the restaurant which now includes the reception. Plus they have added Premier rooms, although we didn't book these as only stayed 2 nights. No complaints about anything - everything was as you would expect from this chain. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant but again this was as we have come to expect from Premier Inn. Staff were friendly and efficient, both on Reception and in the restaurant. Only grumble might be the slightly high price but that can be said of nearly all Inverness hotels who are able to cash in on the year-round tourist trade. Would highly recommend, especially if you are visiting the City as location is easy walking distance, or very short bus/taxi ride, from the city centre and train station.
