From our welcome at the front door on Thursday afternoon to our departure on Monday morning we felt like part of a loving family. The atmosphere in this superb guest house is so friendly, we like others before us, were reluctant to leave! I can only nod in agreement to all the other positive comments from previous happy guests. Breakfast...

We stayed for two nights at Ardconnel House and found the accommodation to be very comfortable and nice. Our hosts are very friendly and helpful. Unlike most B & B, in additional to the cereals, fruits, pastry, juices and milk, etc., they offer a choice from two sets of hot meals for breakfast. We have tried both and each of...

I can only echo all the other positive comments on Ardconnel House, particularly all those from solo travellers. John & Elizabeth really do care about their guests.

This place was simply perfect. Clean, beautiful, roomy.....The hosts, John and Elizabeth, were great. They answered all of our questions daily. Breakfast was delicious and just perfect. The homemade croissants and pastries by Elizabeth were just lovely. Cannot say enough about this B&B. We originally booked this place for 2 nights, but after only a few minutes there, decided to...

Just came back to Hong Kong from Scotland last week. Three of us traveled around Scotland for 2 weeks and stopped by Inverness for two nights. We've picked Ardconnel House and found this 4-Star B&B very sincere, no matter in terms of B&B quality, tidiness, decoration of house, hospitality and facility. John and Elizabeth are nice and helpful. The breakfast...

When I was searching for a place to stay in Inverness, all I had in mind was a safe, clean and reasonably priced single room fairly close to town, the rules of thumb for a single female traveller. So when I found this place that fits the bill nicely and whose host promptly replied and agreed to accommodate me (even...

Great pavement appeal as the House Doctor would say, and from then on it just got better and better. A beautiful, immaculately kept house, spotless. Single bedroom very welcoming with a little teddy bear on bed. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a thick white dressing gown hanging behind door and a tray with all the needful for a cup...

Having read many glowing reviews,we confidently booked for 5 nights in mid-May. Needless to say, we were delighted with Ardconnel House and its facilities. Elizabeth and John are excellent hosts and took a personal interest in our well being, they went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Arrived late in the evening, and Ardconnel House was found to be within easy walking distance from the station, although the stairs a little overwhelming. However, a warm welcome from Elizabeth upon my arrival, made the stairs worth it and I felt immediately at home. The room was a single room, with its own private bathroom across the landing. Both...

We arrived by train and the map showed that the B&B was very nearby so we walked with our luggage.Turned out that we didn't take Inverness elevation change into account. There were 100 steps up from High Street but when we arrived, those steps were well worth the effort. A well appointed, spotless b&b with a great couple running it....
