Absolutely loved our 2 night stay at the bluebell. Kenny is a super friendly guy, nothing too much trouble, even provided us with a cold beer and wine on arrival! Our room was beautiful, loved the four poster bed!!! The room was immaculate with the little touches that many places miss...a tissue box, crystal cut glasses in the bedroom and bathroom, chocolates and ear plugs on the bedside cabinets, tunnock caramel wafers and hot chocolate aswell as tea and coffee. Piping hot, freshly cooked breakfast with a tonne of tea and coffee. Highly recommended and a big thank you Kenny for a super stay. Jude and Jamie

Brilliant central location. Parking facilities which is a rare find in Inverness. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Warm, highland hospitality at its finest with lots of personal touches including the tea/coffee station complete with Scottish confectionary, as well as a bouquet of fresh flowers in the room, and complimentary sleep kits, beauty kits and toiletries which added to the luxurious feel. Delicious cooked breakfast and very comfortable bed. Would highly recommend!

Goodness! What a wonderful stay! Our room was absolutely stunning and so very comfortable. We were tickled with the waters, chocolates, tea, and coffee in the room and greatly appreciated the refrigerator as well. Our host Kenneth was a delight and made us feel so welcome! Breakfast was unforgettable! In fact, I sure could go for some of that delicious porridge right now :) We would definitely recommend the Bluebell to travelers, especially those driving, as this establishment also offers free parking. We hope to return in the future.

This is the best B&B we've ever stayed in! Lots of character and individual decor. Rooms were spotless and serviced daily with clean towels, restocking of our fridge with bottled water (both still and sparkling), the coffee tray with Caramel Wafers which are hubby's favourite and two chocolates on each pillow!! Breakfast was good and lots of toast. Nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent quaint inn with an innkeeper that has an attention for detail. Kenneth is a hard working, humorous host who adds a flair of refinement from breakfast to his lovely, appointed rooms. Each room is named after a flower in Scotland. My husband and I stayed with friends at the the Bluebell Inn and enjoyed fresh fruit, french press coffee with our made to order breakfast each morning. I hope to stay at the Bluebell Inn again.

First thing to know is that the host does NOT live on site. The confirmation we received said guests must check in between 16:00 and 21:00. Nowhere does it say you need and appointment to check in. We arrived at 1850 and there was no one at the B&B. We ended up going to a neighbor to get help, who then called the host who showed up 10 minutes later. He then had the nerve to yell at my wife about going to the neighbor for help. He then stated we needed and appointment to check in and we didn't have one so he didn't know when we ere going to come. Needless to say, we were very taken back and tried to find another location but were unsuccessful, so we had to stay here. To the hosts credit he did apologize the next day and did give us a $40 refund

Response from Kenny Macmillan, Owner at Bluebell House
Responded 12 Feb 2023
It amuses me how people exaggerate situations. First of all I do live on the property, it is my home. The guest put a check in of 4pm, and when the guest hadn’t arrived by 7pm, I went across the road to the supermarket. Typically when I left the property, the guest arrived. I did not yell at anyone, and I certainly didn’t say that you needed an appointment to check in, how ridiculous is that!!! but I simply asked why they couldn’t have called me directly as my number was on their confirmation, instead of bothering my neighbors. They were irate, and after apologising profusely, I refunded the guest £40. I have never left the house since, till every guest has checked in.

Our group of 7 had the most AMAZING stay at Bluebell House. Since we were a larger group, we took up most of the rooms in the house but we all agreed that, when we come back to Inverness, we would definitely stay here again! Kenny is the most gracious host and we really enjoyed speaking to him during breakfast. The rooms were clean , comfortable and well appointed, the breakfast was top notch, and the location can't be beat. It was within walking distance to the center of Inverness. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

My husband and I stayed at the Bluebell for three nights earlier this month. It had been a long time since we had frequented B&Bs and we were astounded to find that our host, Kenny, was providing what would be classed as five star service in an hotel.
The room was comfortable, extremely clean and well-cared for. Towels were changed daily and the little extras like chocolates on the bedside table were replenished daily too. Everything you could possibly want was provided.
The breakfasts were excellent, plentiful and beautifully presented and the service was quick and efficient.
Kenny is a great host, friendly and approachable and we would highly recommend his B&B to anybody.

We got a very warm welcome and there was sanitize on offer. Our room was spotless clean with lively nice crisp sheets. There was an abundance of tea, coffee and hot chocolate along with a couple of caramel logs. The toilet was clean and there was also some complimentary toiletries . The breakfast which you had to order on arrival was an absolute dream, there was a wide variety of choices on offer, both my husband and I choose the breakfast stack which was potato scone topped with bacon, black pudding and a perfectly made poached egg made to perfection. Its location is very central with a short walk to the town centre , we would highly recommend this B&B and would definitely return if we got back to Inverness.
