Inverglen is a Victorian stone villa built in 1894 with many traditional features as well as modern comforts. Our B&B is situated in the quiet residential Crown area, which is only five minutes walk to the centre of Inverness. Therefore, the range of shops, restaurants & pubs are easily visited, while leaving your car in our private car park. The Inverness Railway Station and Inverness Bus Station are also only 5 to 10 minutes walk away or, if your cases are heavy, a very short and inexpensive taxi ride. Inverness Airport is only 15 minutes away by car.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I think this might be the first "Under New Management" review of Inverglen. Joan and Javed are the new proprietors, and they have taken great care to maintain the standards that were set by the previous incumbents (if previous reviews are anything to go by). We had a two night stay in a superior room which was warm and very comfortable, lovely linen and towels and a king-size bed. The guest house was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb with a good choice of cereals and yoghurts etc. The "full Scottish" was excellent.
Joan and Javed were very attentive and informative hosts - they are clearly working on putting their personal stamp on Inverglen.
Something to bear in mind however - although only a few minutes walk from the station and the centre of Inverness, the road up from the town to Inverglen is quite steep. If you have some mobility difficulties I'd suggest a taxi from the station.

Room Tip: We arrived by train but I'm told there is ample off street parking behind Inverglen

I had a relaxing and comfortable stay at Inverglen Guest house. They have private parking behind the bnb which is very useful and safe, it’s a short walk into the centre of Inverness (also through safe streets) and the breakfast was lovely! The pressure in the shower was also fantastic and the room was warm with a very comfy bed. I’ll definitely visit again if I’m back in Inverness!

We stayed 2 nights. Beautiful house in quiet area with a short walk into town centre. We arrived early, but after prior arrangement, were able to park our car in the car park before check in and had a walk into town. Hosts very helpful and considerate. Room was quiet, had a comfortable king size bed, good linen and towels. Day 2 we cycled the Etape on a cold, wet and windy day so were grateful to return early to a hot powerful shower. Fresh and clean throughout. Great breakfast, quality products cooked to perfection. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

We stayed at Inverglen Guest House for five nights in a twin room which was well-appointed and larger than the many twin rooms we’ve occupied on past travels to Scotland. Breakfast was generous and the tasty full Scottish made-to-order. Service was excellent: Joan and Javed paid attention to the smallest detail and, for me, were especially accommodating, providing ice for my (previously) injured knee morning and night! The parking at the back of the building was a godsend at the end of the day. Inverglen is close to the center of town, and we would recommend it highly for your stay in Inverness.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is very nice and very quiet. The house is beautifully maintained. The rooms are spotless and the hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast is large with lots of variety. They also have off-street parking behind the house. I would definitely stay there again.

First of all, the hosts were nice, the room was tidy and comfortable. Sadly, we got the impression that this B&B was run quite economically. We missed the personal touch we experienced in the other places we stayed. We didn’t see any of the pastries shown in the photos here. Also, for breakfast there was no homemade bread. The products offered were rather cheap quality (yogurts, jams, pain au chocolate, …). Also, we found it a pity that the garden was covered with gravel and also in the house we almost only found plastic flowers. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay at Inverglen. I advise taking a taxi to the B&B from the train station (about £3-4) in order to find it, but once you know where it is, walking into town will be easy. Nice large room with ensuite. Tea/coffee equipment, hair dryer included. Javed is very friendly and will make sure you have everything you need. Would definitely book again.

This place is wonderful. Javed and Joan are incredibly accommodating, polite, and thoughtful hosts. Would absolutely stay here again, a beautiful, quaint little place only walking distance from the city centre. The shower pressure and cleanliness was also a brilliant touch for us! We unfortunately needed to request changes and assistance due to a funeral, and Joan was happy to accomodate. During an early morning trip to Isle of Skye, our hosts also prepared a wonderful packed lunch for us. Thanks again!

We were traveling in the British Isles and had booked two night's stay at Inverglen. Unfortunately, I fell ill and we had to cancel all of our plans and fly home. The hosts at Inverglen were very understanding and canceled our reservation without penalty. We will definitely plan to stay at Inverglen when we return to Scotland one day!

Set in the most beautiful neighborhood with a very short walk into town, cannot recommend this B&B more. The owners are wonderful. This is one of the few B&Bs that allow for a one night stay. The room was very clean. The breakfast very tasty. We hope to return.
