Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed two pleasant nights at Dunhallin House. The kind and thoughtful attention by the owners/hosts, Sandy and Margaret, made our visit feel special. Our room was neat and spotless albeit a little cozy in size. Their personally-prepared breakfasts were exceptional with many varied choices. Our favorite was the home-cooked porridge with bananas, cinnamon and honey. Delicious! They even set out complimentary whiskey and sherry for their guests...a nice touch. I highly recommend this super-friendly but never-overbearing or intrusive BnB to others visiting Inverness.

Dunhallin House was our favorite B&B during our stay in Scotland. The room was a comfortable size, and the bathroom was spotless. Margaret made the most amazing breakfasts! There was fresh fruit, cereals and pastries available on the sideboard. Margaret seemed to anticipate our every need, from milk appearing in the fridge for my morning tea, to wine glasses appearing for our nightly relaxation. You will not find a kinder host!

I have stayed in many guesthouses but none as fabulous as this one !! Margaret and Sandy were the perfect hosts, the rooms were spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was a veritable feast, a wide variety of fruit, cereals, spreads, drinks, hot and cold options all served with a smile !! If you are booking a guest house in Inverness this is the place to book !!

Spent 3 nights with my mum from Germany here. From the warm welcome to checking out - everything was perfect. Sandy and Margaret are the best hosts ever. Any questions we had were answered, nothing was too much trouble. The home from home was in a perfect location, away from the busy city, yet in walking distance (less than 2 miles) from everything Inverness has to offer. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated and comfy. The breakfast selection is out of this world, the croissant with bacon and mushrooms was the best. I can’t wait to visit soon again with my husband to enjoy another perfect break. Thank you Margaret and Sandy for making our time in the Highlands an experience we will treasure for a long time.

Stayed 2 nights. Our room was very clean and bed was comfortable. There are two bar options and a grocery store in walking distance. The breakfasts were delicious, simple yet impressive, and far more food than I could eat. Margaret and Sandy were very kind and made sure we had a nice stay. I also appreciated the refrigerator and makeup mirror in the room. Highly recommend
