We had a fantastic experience at Acorn Guest House! Our train was cancelled and we were stranded in Inverness overnight. Thanks to Liz, we were accommodated on very short notice. She is a fantastic hostess and the house is beautiful. We stayed in the "Highland Coo" room which was decorated appropriate to the theme. The room was comfy and Liz was very thorough in introducing us to the room. A delicious breakfast was included and prepared as we asked. We appreciated most that Liz was very helpful, kind, and friendly. She made us feel right at home. We would most certainly stay here again, and would recommend that you stay here also!

Fantastic hostess! So friendly and wanting to make sure we had a great stay. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were soft and unbelievably comfortable. We were hungry for dinner and we were given perfect suggestions where to eat. It was a quiet, warm and comfortable sleep that night. In the morning, our hostess greeted us with a smile and coffee/ tea. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious in a clean, cozy dining room. It was the best experience and the next time we are in Inverness, we are definitely staying there again. Thank you Liz!

From the moment we booked our host, Liz, was so helpful, recommending by email the best ways to access Loch Ness on our drive from Skye to Inverness. Liz was warm and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her guest house. Loved the Scottish themed bedrooms and breakfast room, where a tasty breakfast was served. There is a lounge for guests, which we found useful as we were travelling with German friends and able to spend time together before retiring to our rooms. The private parking and close proximity to town are big plus factors. As we had struggled to make restaurant bookings in previous towns visited I contacted Liz a couple of days prior and she kindly mentioned the nearby Encore Une Fois, where I was able to reserve a table in advance. Thank you for a wonderful stay Liz. We hope we will be able to return.…

Let me start by saying, I will 100% stay here again when we come! My husband and I stayed here for our long await Scotland trip. And when our schedule had to change to accommodate a horse ride, Liz, the owner, worked hard to move our reservation around to accommodate. The breakfasts were amazing, the accommodations were great, the conversations were even better! Liz also helped make sure that we had a take away breakfast when we scheduled a tour that would require us leaving at 7am. Truly awesome, you should stay here!

We had a wonderful time in Inverness with our host Liz. The breakfast was very good and our room was fabulous, with even the bed linen matching the theme of the room (for us it was Highland Cattle). Liz is Scottish through and through and was therefore able to give us very valuable tips for day trips in and around Inverness. We would be happy to recommend you and your lovingly designed B&B.

The place is worthy to go just to meet Liz! She is a great host, welcoming and so kind. She prepared us a great and delicious breakfast and gave us great tips for our trip to Skye. Excellent location, easy to find, parking a plus, quiet area yet within walking distance to the center of Inverness. Liz was a superb hostess, she pays attention to detail. The room was well appointed, comfortable, clean, included welcome tea, kettle, bisquits, shower gel, shampoo, clean, soft towels. Breakfast was plentiful and bespoke in a lovely, sunny dinning room, lovely home and warm hospitality. Thanks, Liz, for a memorable time and excellent suggestions. Hope to see you again, soon! Judy A

A very warm welcome from Liz as we arrived on our bikes. She took our order for breakfast the night before as it is freshly prepared and cooked and there was a good selection of cereals, yogurts, toast and spreads. Liz very kindly booked us a table at a restaurant she recommended for the evening and we were not disappointed. The room was very comfortable, the only thing missing was a glass for water. I would highly recommend this B&B.
