Wonderful and accommodating hosts from the moment you knock on the door.
The place itself was absolutely spotlessly clean.

Food: breakfast was really nice with optional Scottish black pudding and haggis which was first for me, served promptly and always with friendly service

The room: it had everything you need (including quadruple glazing so a silent night sleep) comfy bed, modern bathroom, tea and coffee and hot chocolate

Parking: ample parking at the address

Covid 19:
Again the place was absolutely spotless, masks/visors were always worn by hosts and measurements taken for guests also.

Location: great location to walk into town (left) ben nevis (right)

Me and my wife stay away often and can't fault this place!
Excellent value for money

Extra services (the extra mile) after climbing ben nevis the hosts offered to take our clothes to a drying room free of charge and the next morning given back us dry. We also used the dining area to bring back fish and chips and to our surprise they set up a table for us to eat our food upon return.

What a lovely guest house, we stayed here on the first leg of our road trip. We were greeted by the lovely Cathy.
The property had a lovely conservatory used as a breakfast room. We booked a small double but to be honest it was very spacious and came with an ensuite, flat screen TV, a dressing table and a hospitality tray that had tea, coffee, hot chocolate and lots of little goodies. There is also free wi fi. Our little bedroom window looked out onto the garden and on our first evening saw a deer it was amazing.
The breakfast was varied, there was fresh fruit, cereal and a hot breakfast. The food was delicious. Cathy was so attentive making sure that we had everything we needed.
There is free parking and the property is a 20 minute walk to the Ben Nevis visitor centre and around 1o minutes to Fort William centre. We also noticed that there were good bus links for those of you that dont drive.
This property was very reasonably priced and is in an ideal location for walkers wanting to tackle Ben Nevis or a smaller walk. Its a lovely little guest house. Thank you Cathy for an amazing stay we were sad to go but are looking forward to seeing you again.

Thank you for such a lovely review. We both really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us and others. We are very grateful for your kind words, it truely looks like you have had a fantastic stay. We are absolutely delighted that everything we could have done helped make your stay so nice, however to get the additional sighting of our wildlife friends in the garden must have been an extra treat!! And we are not meaning our resident Scottie Domino either!! It was lovely to meet you, and we hope that we get to see you again very soon. Kind regards. Steve and Cathy.

We have recently returned from a 3 night stay at Ben Nevis Guest House and loved it so much we have already booked for next year! Steve and Cathy were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome in their guest house. We had van troubles when we arrived and they gave us good advice on local garages to use and offered us space to store our bikes while the van was at the garage. Our room was very nice, decorated in a modern fashion and contained everything you would need. Everything was very fresh and clean and it was the perfect place to relax after a day in the mountains.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and you could choose as much or as little as you liked. Everything we tried was fantastic, particularly the whisky infused porridge! The guest house is ideally situated at the beginning of the road to Ben Nevis and only a 15 min stroll to the town centre where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

We have stayed in a few other guest houses in Fort William but enjoyed Ben Nevis Guest House so much it will be our first choice in future.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We really appreciate it when guests take the time to write a review whilst staying with us, and share their fantastic experiences with other potential holiday makers. We are really pleased that your experience was one of relaxation and enjoyment. It has been a long wait, but we have very much enjoyed re-opening and meeting our new guests. We try to offer as wide a variety of quality local products where we can, but we are also pleased that you enjoyed all our little extras, aswell as our porridge with Jacobite whiskey and honey. Thank you also for reconsidering us for your next stay, we would love to welcome you back. Kind regards. Steve and Cathy.

Super well equipped rooms with lots of 'extra' little touches e.g robes, local food treats, etc. Modern en-suite bathroom with good shower. Comfy bed. Easy parking on site. Freshly cooked breakfasts and lots of choice for continental especially fruit all served at your own table in the conservatory. The hosts were friendly and had lots of information about the local area -we benefitted from their advice about the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig. Cute pet Scottie dog -which was quiet and very well behaved. Easy walk to the town centre and great location for Ben Nevis.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at our Guest House last year. We very much enjoy ensuring your stay is as comfortable as possible. All the little extra bits that we put into our Deluxe rooms are just our way of making your stay that extra bit special. We are also very pleased that you enjoyed our breakfast, we do always try to source locally where possible and cater for everyone's needs as much as we can as we think it is important you are all fully fuelled for the day!! We also believe we are very lucky where we are based, inbetween the full range of amenities Fort William has to offer, 1 mile from Ben Nevis and only a 15 minute walk into town too. We are glad Domino made you feel welcome too, she does very much enjoy meeting new people and getting lots of attention. Hopefully we will see you again soon. Kind regards. Steve and Cathy.

Cathy and Steve were welcoming hosts to their fabulous B&B.
The room was beautifully clean with modern shower room. Good choice of breakfast, fantastic cooked breakfast as well as Scottish porridge.
The hosts have paid great attention to detail in making the B&B very covid safe e.g hand sanitizer, social distancing, breakfast timings.

The location was fantastic. A short easy walk into the town of Fort William, around 10 minutes. And also great proximity to the foot of Ben Nevis, around a 20 minutes walk, (or longer after the mountain climb)!

We ate at the Crannog and Garrison West in town, would recommend these and booking is a must.

Would highly recommend Ben Nevis Guest House.
Thank you !
Alice and Nick

The Ben Nevis Guest House is exemplary. The rooms superbly appointed with everything in them to make our stay comfortable. They were extremely well decorated and the facilities in them of a very high standard. This guest house truly deserves all the awards it has been given. (I enjoyed the theme throughout the guest house re: 'Scottie dogs', Domino being the star of the show!) The hosts, Cathy and Steve, were extremely helpful and there was nothing that was too much trouble. They were always there to give you advice on what is available locally, and went over and above what is expected of hosts - Steve even went to the trouble to find us local accommodation due to the train strike on the evening they could not accommodate us because they were already fully booked. They cared about their guests. The breakfasts were amazing and plentiful, with a wide variety of choice on offer. The location of the guest house is only a short walk away from the centre of Fort William and also for the start/bottom of Ben Nevis. I cannot praise this guest house enough - we had a wonderful 4 nights here, and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone staying in Fort William.

Thank you for such a fantastic review. We very much appreciate all your lovely and kind comments. It was a pleasure meeting you, and chatting about your plans for a full packed holiday. And even though there was a little disruption along the way, we were glad we could help you stay a little longer. We certainly have a little star here in Domino, she is very much part of the family and the B and B, we have had 11 years of collecting scotty dog items now, but we agree she is the best one!! Glad you found our breakfast assortment to be amazing, we do try and source local produce where possible so pleased you enjoyed. Was lovely to meet you both, and we hope that we may get to see you again soon. Kind regards. Steve and Cathy.

Steve and Cathy are very welcoming and friendly people.

As a key worker working away from home, this B&B accepted my stay as I was placed in Fort William for work purposes during this Covid-19 pandemic.

My stay was very comfortable with lots of little extras bits and pieces, like the shower robe and the local treats to come back to after a shift at the hospital.
The cleanliness and hygiene was superb, definitely a 10/10, always following the correct policies and procedures that were required for Covid-19.
I can’t wait to come back to Fort William and stay here with my partner for leisure purposes instead of work.

Thank you Steve and Cathy for giving me a ‘home’ away from my home during these very difficult times.

Thank you for such a lovely review. It really means a lot, especially in these difficult times and with you being our first guest for the year. It was a pleasure to be able to accommodate you, and we will most certainly look forward to you coming back again later in the year. Having a 10/10 for cleaning is really important for us and this will go along way to building confidence with other guests. So we very much appreciate your kind and honest review. We are also glad that you enjoyed the other little touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Kind regards. Steve and Cathy.

We visited the Ben Nevis guest house for a 5 night stay, coming from Newcastle and using the guest house as a base to explore the top attractions from. Our time spent here could not have been better and the owners we’re a dream from start to finish. Everything that you need is covered and the rooms are absolutely spotless. The breakfast options are superb and tasty and the friendly, welcoming nature of the owners really helps set the tone for the trip. In addition to this; the social distancing and cleaning measures put in place are exemplary. As a base for exploring places such as Steall waterfall, Ben Nevis, The Three Sisters etc - this couldn’t have been better placed. Overall, we have had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate at all to visit here in the future; in-fact, we hope to!! Thankyou for everything!!

Spent 2 nights here and the stay was lovely.
The rooms are spotless and had everything you need.
The owners Cath &Steve are the perfect hosts and made you feel so welcome in their home.
The location is just off the main road and so quiet , ample parking and fantastic views and seats outside and a lovely conservatory to have your breakfast in .
The breakfast was amazing so much choice , could have a continental served in your room, their service was more of a 5 star hotel but so much better and friendlier.
We had our breakfast in the conservatory and choice of cereal, fresh fruit , juices were offered , we had porridge a hearty portion which was delicious.
The cooked breakfast was tasty and again plenty to see you through the day.
This B&B I hope gets through these difficult times , they certainly deserve to, and if we visit the area again this will be our 1st and only choice .
Thank you so much for a lovely stay it was brilliant.
Domino the Scottie dog was so well behaved and made the stay complete.

This was our second visit to the Guest House having used it at the end of our W.H.W. hike two years ago.We were two septuagenarians celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary with the additional purpose of taking some of our son's ashes back to the land of his birth. We had a problem on the return descent. [Nancy had a bad fall on the summit and was also over fatigued.]The result was we never got off the Ben until after 10 p.m about 2 hours after nightfall.,.and that only after being helped by some very generous fellow climbers .Steve our B&B host, had become alarmed at our non-show and kept continuous contact with us by phone. He was there waiting for us in the Glen Nevis car park when we eventually arrived,.to ferry us back to the Guest House. Nancy had to spend most of the next day in bed recovering and Steve brought her breakfast in bed. When it was time for us to leave a few days later Steve drove us to the Railway Station. All of these "extras" were given us without any prompting from us or any reimbursement. The Guest House itself is beautiful clean and comfortable and although we are "awkward" guests [one vegan the other gluten free] we were catered for seamlessly by Steve and Cathy. In short we couldn't have asked for more from either the accommodation or the friendly and obliging hosts.

Hello Phillip and Nancy, Lovely to hear from you. We hope that your journey back home was less strenuous. It's always lovely to welcome Guests back as this in itself is a review that we greatly appreciate. Obviously for you guys it was quite an emotional roller coaster, but we are just so pleased that there are people out there that came to your aid. Thank you for your lovely review, and not to mention the Scottie Dog throw that you got us. It is very snug. Something we enjoy very much as does Domino. We very much appreciate you taking the time to write this review along with all your lovely comments. We hope that you are safe and well. It was lovely to see you again and hopefully we might get to see you return again soon. Maybe not to tackle the Ben this time though!! Kind regards. Steve and Cathy.
