We spent 4 nights here in September and stayed in a Ben Nevis 2 bedroom lodge. It was very comfortable with an electric fire in the lounge and the lodge heated up well. There was a double bedeoom and a twin bedroom, both had good storage space for clothes and bags etc. Bathroom had a shower only but it was a good shower. Kitchen was good also. We enjoyed the location as a base for visiting the area and took a trip on the mountain gondola, boat trip on loch Linnie and visited Glenfinnan. There is not much on the holiday park itself. There is a small climbing frame and rocking animal for young children. A swing would be a nice addition. We walked down to the river at the bottom of the campsite and this was nice for views of the hills. I would return as lodge was clean and perfect for a family weekend away. Would recommend as good base for this area.…
Unfortunately this site wasn't for us and after climbing Ben Nevis (perfect location for doing so) we decided to leave 2 days early in favour of another site. The pitch was concrete and it was therefore impossible to peg the awning down. The water points on the serviced pitches are too far away so you need an extra long hose to be able to connect to the water direct. The facilities block did not have any covid restrictions in place (i.e. no limited numbers or every other cubicle closed off). Picturesque river and woodlands on site, nice play park, mountains views, friendly lady on reception and conveniently located shop at the end of the road. Emailed customer service and unfortunately they were not interested in our issues.
The facilities here are good and if there had been no pandemic, would have probably scored higher, maybe 3, but at the back of service pitches there are tent pitches and depending on the size of the tent being erected means you could be pretty damn close from the back of your caravan/camper to the tent, less than 3m in some cases. The real problem was the lack of provision made to protect folks in the facilities. No blocked off sinks, urinals or showers and hand sanitizer was empty, just like there was no pandemic. We have travelled extensively all over the UK since lockdown was lifted and this is the worst provision for safety we have seen. Really for a large organisation there is no excuse,
Stayed one night last week, nice site, reasonably priced. No views but only due to weather on our stay. Facilities were clean and good COVID practices. Only dealt with one young lady on reception who was very polite and helpful. Dropped two marks for two things. The Elsa point was very poor with no flush and some idiot came through in a grey pick up like he was on a race track( the day the static caravan was picked up from the corner near the dumping yard on side of river) luckily I had just got in with my dogs but still inappropriate speed on a caravan park.
We stayed in the highland caravan for 4 nights in September. Great location and the views of ben nevis were amazing! The caravan had everything we needed and it was very clear that all covid measures were in place. The site was very clean and the staff were friendly. We did have somewhere else booked originally but this was cancelled 5 weeks before we were meant to go so with a phone call to ben nevis holiday park they soon booked us in and reassured us all is ok.
