This place is lovely, the views of the loch are great from the front of the house and the bedrooms are well furnished, clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also great, I advised on booking that I am vegetarian and a lovely veggie full English was provided which was a nice touch. We had the room downstairs... More

After a long trip from Edinburgh, we arrived at 20:00 today to argyll house thinking everything was ok for our accommodation, but it wasn't. Under our fault we booked the wrong day, therefore we miss the room for the day that we thought the room was booked for. We were desperate, but the lovely couple who run argyll house did... More

I don't understand some of the other reviews and that goes for other places I've stayed at too. This modern house is immaculately clean, has beautiful gardens, the twin room was huge with tons of storage space and the biggest shower I've seen in a b&b. furnishings, decor etc all first class, throws on beds, cushions, a big fluffy rug... We stayed here for one night in the twin room overlooking the garden. The house is located just outside the town centre up a steep hill giving it fantastic views. It was only 5 or 10 minutes walk back into town, maybe slightly longer coming back up the hill! We were welcomed by our hostess and shown to our room.... More

Yes on the surface it looks nice... But I agree with the other reviews about the ridiculously short breakfast window, the open plan out of bounds living area, the tiptoeing around, the postage stamp sized TV. I also had the rude "I couldn't possibly serve breakfast any later than 7.45 to 8.30 as I have other things to do. "... More

B & B was clean and very comfortable. It is not easy to find because it is on a hill, but that makes the view from the front bedroom spectacular. Breakfast was good. Because of the open area, you do feel like you have intruded in someone's house. The TV was very small and mounted in a corner so it... More

We struggled to find the this B&B in the residential area of FW but when we rang for instructions from Mairi, we were just 2 minutes away.. when we pulled into the drive I expected the host to be there to welcome us, but this was not the case. we knocked on the door and entered where she was very... We had the garden twin room which was large and had a fab en-suite shower room. Both were immaculate and very comfortable. The tv was tiny however and so pretty much useless. The B&B is on a hill but this wasn't a problem for us and it did have a great view (or it would have done if it hadn't... More

Warm welcome from Mairi and wonderful breakfast cooked to order. From our large clean room we had an excellent view over the loch and mountains. The bed was enormous. A 5 minute walk downhill will take you into town.
