Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Highly recommended yurt stay in beautiful setting with stunning views of Ben Nevis. We had a short but wonderful stay in one of the family yurts which was well kitted out. Great beds and a lovely log burner inside that keeps you warm and cosy. Fab kitchen area and shower cubicles located next door to yurts - all immaculately clean and everything you’d need for a memorable stay! 5*****

Stayed in the Eagle yurt with 3 teenagers. The yurt was lovely and clean with great furnishings. It was warm due to the log burner. A lovely relaxed break. The toilet and shower was clean and well thought out and the kitchen shack was great with separate facilities for each group. Well stocked and clean. Such a lovely relaxed break. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet.

I booked to stay in the yurt for my partners birthday gift as he’s always wanted to go to Scotland to climb Ben Nevis. This place was in a great location and looked lovely. A couple days before we were arriving I rung Julie to see if we could possibly add another night. We found out that there was a booking error and we had no reservations! Julie went above and beyond and we ended up staying in nevis lodge for 2 nights which was unbelievable! We are definitely going back with family! Then on our 3rd night we got to stay in a challet with amazing views. Honestly could not of asked for a better weekend! We will be staying here next year with family for sure!

We had a minor issue that we were not happy about when we arrived, but Julie moved mountains to address it and we had a wonderful holiday as a result! Cannot recommend this place more. Wonderful location.

Had an absolutely fantastic time here in Eagle Yurt. Yes it rained. Yes it was cold, but the yurt was absolutely wonderful. It had a log burner of its own and the bedding was super snuggly! Our yurt was toasty every morning after we lit the fire. Open air kitchen is fully equipped. View of Ben Nevis is stunning. Toilets and showers were always clean. Owners really friendly. Easy to find as directions are very clear. A real highlight of our holiday. Minor inconvenience...the path from the toilets to the yurt was really churned up. Not very pleasant in the dark. Top tip: take more torches than you think you'll need.

Cannot thank Julie enough for her help in achieving a lovely relaxed day for our son’s wedding 20 Sept. Otter Yurt was the perfect place to have the wedding feast. The beautiful surroundings helped to make it a very special day and the kids had a perfect safe place to run around. As the date coincided with the climate change marches we were still able to participate - even on a wedding day (see pics)

Cannot thank Julie enough, this wee holiday was nothing short of transformative! What a location - just a lovely site, the yurt was incredible, the double bed luxurious, the wood burning stove a lovely touch but also just the thing waking up on a chilly morning - although the yurt held its comfortably cool temperature very well, and was toasty snug when the fire was going. Open air kitchen well equipped with a range of pots pans, plates, mugs and other utensils, loos and showers no frills yet quirky and in keeping with the low footprint feel of the whole place, but plenty warm showers. If you want to get close to nature, meet like-minded folk, and wake up in a unique 'building' to the mist curling over the Nevis range, this is the place to go!

The lodge was cosy, quiet and ideal to come back to after spending the day in the great outdoors. It had everything you needed and more as the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment, crockery and even odds and ends like tin foil, spices, tea & washing up liquid. There's a fridge, electric hob, oven, toaster and kettle which is great if you're self catering. The spacious lounge area was equipped with a wood burning stove (which we loved!), TV/DVD player and a small selection of books & board games. In addition to the wood fire there are also heaters throughout so it's lovely and cosy even when it's not so nice outside. The beds were comfy enough with a warm duvet and plenty of pillows/cushions, and there's also cupboards and hanging space for storage. Bathroom has a wc and electric shower and towels/bath mat are provided. It was fairly overcast when we visited but the lodge has big windows which look out into the trees which would be lovely on a clearer day. There's a nice decking area outside with another stove and also space for parking out the front. It's in a great location as Torlundy is just 5-10 minutes drive from Fort William, so it's easy enough to get into civilisation but you do feel like you're in a more remote location. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in town if you want to go out and also several supermarkets to choose from if you need to pick up supplies. The Woodland Lodge is located further down the road from the main Yurt site just past the Great Glen Lodges on the right, signed for Torlundy Farm. We had a relaxing and peaceful weekend away and would definitely visit again. It's also dog friendly which is a bonus.

We stayed here for a week in August. It is a fantastic location to get out and explore from. We visited the Glenfinnan Highland Games, climbed Ben Nevis, visited Steall Falls, drove to Syke, and Loch Ness. The yurts were clean and tidy and surprisingly spacious, the log burner kept the yurt lovely and warm and it was cosy at night with the burner and candles. We enjoyed the woodland walk on-site and found a great tree swing, which was lots of fun. The kitchen was amply stocked with a vast array of pots & pans, cutlery glasses, cups, everything you could need. I really liked the planted fresh herb barrel. We did take extra candles which came in handy, although we didn't need them. The showers were hot, and the washer worked a treat. The only drawback was the oven not working but we easily adapted our meal plan as there are supermarkets and shops nearby.
