Set in beautiful surrounding this is a fantastic base for climbing Ben Nevis and exploring the surrounding area. The rooms are spacious and clean and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was passable though I would stay away from the scrambled microwave egg. Other than that I cannot fault the place. The staff are friendly and will go out of their way... More

Stopped here on our way to the Isles and on our way back. Great value accommodation, clean and comfortable with very helpful staff. The dinner menu is nice and varied, the food is well presented and the portion sizes should suit the largest apatite. They also have an excellent range of whiskey for an after dinner drink.

What this hotel lacks in character and kerb appeal it more than makes up for in every other way. The room - ours was spacious, well appointed and clean. The bed and pillows very comfortable, temperature control easily adjustable and effective and the view was outstanding. Our room had a view overlooking Loch Linnhe, although I notice that the rooms... More

We booked in here last minute as our travel plans changed. First impressions were lack lustre but we were pleasently surprised. The staff really make this place great. Lovely evening spent in the lounge overlooking the lake. Comfortable beds. Tasty breakfast served by a cheerful Amy!

What a great hotel this is. The location is superb, the rooms are spot-on, clean and well maintained, the staff were lovely and the food was great; the best kippers for breakfast I've had! My wife and I will be going back...

Go to Fort William having booked The Clan Macduff Hotel, spend the evening in the relaxed atmosphere of the Bar looking out over Loch Linnhe. Sleep well in their wonderfully well appointed on suite Bedrooms; then in the morning go down for breakfast, there is a fantastic choice, but I would recommend The Kippers, sourced locally, these are the best... Been there for one night on our roadtrip to the Isle of Sky starting from Edinburgh. We'd been surprised by the spacious rooms with a great bed that provided us a wonderful night. The room was clean and very quiet. Breakfast as expected, meaning good, but not great. All people we've met where very friendly. Would come back.

It's a good thing my husband and I have a sense of humour as it helped us to cope with the rudeness of the main receptionist. (The other reception staff were also pretty frosty.) We chose the hotel because the information said it was "family run" and we foolishly presumed that meant friendly too. How dare we ask about wifi?... More

Nice place to stay for a short time. We stayed in the annex, the rooms are a good size, comfortable big bed and a table and two chairs. Lovely views across the water from most rooms and the bar and restaurant. It is a little out of Fort William and though it's walkable it's not really safe in the dark... More
