Having not stayed at Achintee Farm since 2014, I am pleased to report that the owners, Heather and Scott remain the most approachable and accommodating hosts that I remember from all my previous stays! Their up-to-date Victorian farmhouse is the perfect getaway location surrounded by stunning scenery in the heart of Glen Nevis. With stylish, spotless and comfortable rooms in which to relax, and a delicious, quality breakfast to set you up for the day; whether recovering from the West Highland Way, preparing to conquer Ben Nevis or simply exploring the Highlands, Achintee Farm is the perfect place to stay! I definitely shan't leave it so long til next time...

This was my favorite guest house during our 10-day trek through Scotland. The single-lane road leading to the property had amazing views of the area around Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. The back yard leads to a trail that runs along a creek and is totally enjoyable if you want to get some exercise. Highly recommend.

This place should most DEFINITELY be ranked number one for places to stay in Fort William. The host, Scott, is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and splendidly amusing! I could leave it there and say what more would you want from a guesthouse? But then I'd be doing a disservice to the amount of thought that Scott and Heather have put into the physical accommodation itself. The room we had was incredibly spacious, immaculately clean and had numerous little touches of home. We had a kettle, every version of hot drink you could want, fresh milk in the fridge, homemade cookies, bedtime chocolates and locally made toiletries. Breakfast is also lovely - simple and filling. To top it all off, the location is basically at the head of the trail up the mountain. No road noise to worry about when you sleep either! Win!…

I would echo all the other glowing reviews of Achintee Farm. My husband and I spent one night there after finishing the West Highland Way. We loved the setting, the breakfast, the comfortable and large bedroom and en-suite bath. Scot was a fun and generous host, and we enjoyed chatting with him about long-distance walks. Dinner at the Ben Nevis pub up the track was excellent. We would love to come back and spend a few quiet days at Achintee at any time of year.

Wonderful Guest House in beautiful surroundings. Perfect location for climbing Ben Nevis as at the foot of the tourist path. Scot was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. He was very friendly and so helpful. The Room was clean and comfy with lovely continental breakfast served in the room with fresh coffee, warmer croissants and toast brought to the room by Scot. 2 min walk to Ben Nevis Inn and 15min walk to Glen Nevis Inn. Fort William is approx 10 min drive away.

My partner and I stayed here the other day, booking mostly because of its proximity to Ben Nevis. We were most pleasantly surprised to find the self-catered double apartment to be spacious, warm and cleaned to a very very high standard. Tea, coffee, fresh towels and soap all included in the price. The hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and the pub about 1 minutes walk away was equally as fantastic. We stayed for two nights and would have happily stayed for longer! If you are planning on walking Nevis, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Quite possibly. Conveniently located at the foot of the most popular path up the mountain and next door to the excellent Ben Nevis Inn; Achintee Farm is exactly where you want it to be. Room three is big with nice decor, good beds, great views and a modern en suite. The in room continental breakfast hits the spot and Scot and Heather were wonderful hosts. I got lucky and booked this just as lockdown started to unlock because I suspect they will soon be very busy once again!

Great room with good views. Breakfast was simple but enough, the fresh coffee and toast brought to you when you request is a great touch. Great quality produce for the continental breakfast and room was spotless. Right at the foot of Ben Nevis and great place to start your ascent. Only 50m from the Ben Nevis Inn also !

My daughter and I spent 10 days touring Scotland and were fortunate enough to find ourselvess at the Achintee Farm. Scott greeted us warmly and was a most hilarious host! The accommodations were lovely and clean. Breakfast was very good and delivered right at the time we requested. Truly, the best part (other than the view from Ben Nevis) was our host and his delightful sense of humor. I'm sure we burned as many calories laughing at him as we did hiking the mountain! We didn't want to leave and hope our paths cross again some day.
