Perfect location with very friendly staff with everything you could wish for. We stayed in the Craiglinnhe Court apartments which are some of the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. These were very clean with everything you could need. The rooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The breakfast choice was excellent and we would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to spend time in the area. Definitely a place we shall be returning to.

Our stay here was wonderful. It has been a long time since we have stayed in a B&B and our experience was great!

Dora is extremely friendly and willing to offer any tips and advise on exploring the area.

The rooms are lovely and bright and beautifully presented. We had a spectacular view from our window (room 5).

The location is great. It's located directly in front of a lake so, as you can imagen, the views in the morning are wonderful. It is a 5 minute walk into the main town and a 10/15 minute walk to the train station (perfect if you have Booked the Jacobite Steam train).

It's a short drive to the main points in Fort William such as Nevis Range, Ben Nevis and Great Glen.

I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for two nights to allow for a climb up Ben Nevis. We spent £240 for two nights which was super reasonable! The guest house was in a perfect location - 5 mins walk from the centre of fort william, 10 minute drive to the Ben Nevis car park and opposite the loch.

Our room was large and clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was a bit hard - fine for us as we have a hard mattress at home but for those who love a soft mattress potentially an issue.

The lady who served us breakfast (in the second house) was lovely. She was super friendly, helpful and definitely an asset to the Myrtle Bank team!

Comfy rooms, great location and reasonable price!

This was our last night on our 8 day West Highland Way. Dora welcomed us warmly and showed us to our lovely room in this grand old house. Everything has been beautifully styled with deeply waxed furniture, sumptuous fabrics, lovely pictures, and bowls of flowers. There’s a classy comfy residents lounge, and it’s alright to leave your luggage to pick up later; if you want a shower after your day out it’s available. The breakfast staff were charming and made me a delicious dairy free porridge and a fresh fruit platter, and I enjoyed a relaxed hour over my breakfast and coffee. They also booked my taxi to get to the station and couldn’t have been kinder. Fabulous place.

Years ago we stayed at this place and loved it so after booking a jacobite train trip this was my go to b&b. When I rang several months ago I asked if they had any superking beds as we are both very tall. She said she had so booked two nights. After asking for confirmation email I saw the room was described as a master superking and at £120pn it was a higher price than the website suggested the rooms were . We thought that it must be quite a luxurious room so accepted it. I was told that the room was next to reception but I wasn’t put off by that as we would be out a lot. Dora omitted to tell me about the bathroom !!!
First impression was good. Not a bad size room classically furnished with a very large comfortable bed and lovely view. You had to walk through an adjoining single bedroom to get to the shower room. Omg the shower room was so small there was not enough wall space for even the smallest heated towel rail and so it was very cold. There wasn’t enough space to dry and dress in this bathroom so had to do that in the bedroom. We realised we were not paying for any kind of luxury but for a second room and an extra bed we never wanted or used
To get to the breakfast room you had to go outside and into the adjoining building where there was also a nicely furnished guest lounge. The first morning we were lucky as it wasn’t full at breakfast. The second morning we saw that some of the tables were very close and I felt very uncomfortable given Covid . The breakfast was very nice and served by a very polite but busy young man. This guest house is
actually three buildings but the third one has its own breakfast room. We stayed at three b&b s this trip but this one was a disappointment .

Initial impressions are very good. Lovely hall with flowers, sanitiser outside each entrance (more than one building) and host very friendly. The whole place is very clean. We had a room overlooking the loch and gardens. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t get the chance to appreciate them. Note the main road runs between the guesthouse and the loch.

Our room was large as was the bathroom. Some shortbread and a chocolate was a nice touch and appreciated.
The young Romanian at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast room did feel a little cramped in this time of social distancing. Only other comment was that breakfast was either cooked Scottish or healthy which was fruit, yogurt and cheese. In most places we’ve had a little fruit and yogurt followed by the cooked breakfast which would have been nice and we didn’t really need the cheese (a large piece)

We came here for part of our mini holiday after our main holiday to Greece was cancelled so booked it last minute.
Well what can we say...couldn’t fault it at all.
We got shown to our little apartment at the back of the main building where it was nice and quiet from the main road. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the greeting we got when arrived was lovely.
We were surprised that there was little gestures of tea and coffee in the room along with little chocolates and packet of lovely biscuits but it was most appreciated!
The breakfast we couldn’t complain, we were given a variety of choice and we picked the cook breakfast, it was amazing and we had choice of tea and coffee and toast and orange juice which definitely set us up for the day!
Overall if we came back to Fort William we would definitely stay here again and we will be recommending to our family and friends

Having decided all the things we wanted to do in the Fort William area we set about looking for somewhere to stay. My wife sent me a message at work with a suggestion we try The Myrtle Bank. After a bit of research decided it was for us. We booked 4 nights as our first day would mostly be travelling up to Fort William. We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by Dora who immediately made us welcome and showed our to our room. The room was immaculate and big. Excellent start. After that everything got better and better. The first morning we were greeted in the breakfast room by the staff and they were fantastic (particularly the lady serving us) I'm sorry we didn't get her name but she is a credit to the establishment. The standard was kept up the entire time we were there. The location is excellent and only a few minutes walk into town. It overlooks the most most scenic view and the gardens are absolutely stunning. If your wondering where to stay in Fort William look no further than The Myrtle Bank. Well done to Dora and magnificent team and Thank you very much. We will see you again I'm sure.
Derek and Ailsa Whorton.

We had initially booked only 1 night at Myrtle Bank but it was such a beautiful place we booked another 2 nights.
Dora was very friendly helpful and welcoming when we arrived.
The gardens were beautiful and our room overlooked Loch Linnhe - an amazing view!
The rooms were spotless and very tastefully decorated.
Breakfast was lovely and we were served by Gail who was such a nice person and just couldn’t do enough for us. We met Margarita who was doing her cleaning rounds, again so nice and brilliant at her job.
All in all a fabulous stay and intend to come back!! Thank you!!

Friendly welcome on arrival, we had a lovely large room looking out onto the mature gardens and loch. The room was warm but easy to adjust the temperature to suit, bathroom had luxurious towels and some complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, choice of full breakfast or healthy option which was fruit and yogurt. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.
