What a fabulous place to stay. We were blown away at how much we enjoyed our time at Glen Lyon Lodge and Nairn.

Helen, our host was so friendly and made our time there the best it could possibly have been.

Our room was immaculate. Very tastefully decorated and we had the best nights sleep, the bed was so comfortable and we slept until late each morning.

There was everything in the room we needed; hair dryer, phone charger a well stocked refreshments tray with tasty muffins and biscuits, also plenty of mirrors and the bathroom had locally sourced toiletries.

It's location is very well appointed and it's a short walk to town, the beach, local pubs etc.

Breakfast was amazing, there was so much choice from fresh fruit, cereal, toast and home made jam and Granola, the cooked breakfast set us up for the day and we especially liked the home made tattie scones (yum yum!).

All in all we throughly enjoyed our trip to Nairn. Helen was the most amazing host, and nothing was too much trouble for her.

We'll definitely be back.

Glen Lyon Lodge is a top quality B&B. It is a short walk from Nairn station and very easy to find. You receive a warm welcome from Helen and her lovely dog Poppy. Our room and en-suite were bright, airy and spotlessly clean. The bed linen and towels were very good quality. There was a well stocked welcome tray in the room which included home made shortbread and fresh milk.
The lodge is an easy walk into the centre of town and the lovely beaches. Nairn is a great small town with lovely cafes, shops and eateries. There are plenty of places to visit in the local area.
The breakfast that Helen provides is amazing. A great choice of home cooked food ranging from home made granola and fresh fruit, a full Scottish breakfast, eggs cooked a variety of ways, smoked salmon or avocado on toast. You make your choice the night before so everything is freshly prepared for each guest.
If you’re travelling in this area I would definitely recommend stopping off for a night or two at Glen Lyon.

Lovely B&B, great location and dog friendly. Proprietor Helen could not have been more friendly and welcoming, we felt very relaxed and enjoyed the stay there. Comfortable bed and room with nice toiletries, little treats, and good wifi.

Breakfast menu was varied, well presented and good quality - even with home made tattie scones!

We stayed at the Glen Lyon Lodge for four nights. The place is near the centre of Nairn, a beautiful seaside town. The rooms were luxurious and we felt like royalty in the wonderful bed. The owner Helen is a wonderful person, friendly and helpful. She does really excellent breakfasts, and is very flexible. With Helen's breakfasts we were certainly set up for a day of hiking around the nearby hills and mountains. Helen's lovely dog is an added bonus. We will certainly be going back.

This business has recently been taken over. The new owner was lovely. The rooms were comfortable and have obviously been refurbished recently. Internet was great - good speeds! The setting is good, whilst it is on the main road the gardens are beautifully attended to and great please to sit. There is off street parking which is great. Breakfast was good with a nice selection.

It is dog friendly, which is great for me, as my girls come to work with me.

Overall a great place to stay with a very friendly and helpful hostess.

Lovely, newly renovated house run by the owner, Helen, who was very attentive. Pristine rooms with extremely comfortable beds and pillows and plush, thick and cozy towels (which smelled divine). Really good place for an over night stay. Very convenient and good parking. Woke up refreshed to the best Scottish breakfast I’ve had in a while. Also really dog friendly.

This was the cutest guest house. The proprietor is Helen and she is delightful. The rooms were so cute and comfortable. The mattresses are wonderful and we slept so well. The location is perfect and just a short walk to the beach or restaurants. My friends and I definitely would recommend to anyone.!

Our family was travelling around Scotland and wanted to stay in Nairn. We were lucky enough to find Glen Lyon Lodge through the UK travellers bureau and booked 3 rooms for the 6 of us who were travelling. Each room was very charming, clean, had an ensuite. The gounds were very well kept and the gardens gorgeous. Forbes and his mom were lovely and the breakfast was very tasty with all the extra touches. A short walk to downtown and to the beach. The next time we are travelling from Canada, we would definitely stay here again!

An excellent B&B in a beautiful old house. Perfectly situated for touring the highlands. And the hospitality is second to none. We stayed in the room with an enormous bay window overlooking the beautiful gardens. The en-suite bathroom was delightful.
And then there was the breakfast. 1st class in every way. All the food you could eat, superbly prepared and served with obvious joy. A wonderful place to stay. Forbes and his mother are wonderful hosts and make you feel right at home.
