Situated a short walk from the seashore this excellent small hotel did us proud. We were in the annexe so were able to park the car at the door- very useful when unloading all the luggage required by my dog and wife for a 3 night stay! We were given a large, spacious room with a superb, huge, comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were spotless and warm. Housekeeping was of the best as were the breakfasts with smoked salmon and eggs Benedict on the menu. The staff were all really friendly and nice to my dog(which earns a place 5 stars in my book straight away!) and whilst there was a party on the Saturday evening we were not bothered by noise at all. Great place. Can't wait to get back. Thank you all for having been so nice.

This is a modernised hotel with very good facilities plus the rooms are well appointed,
the staff are also friendly and helpful.
Our evening meal in the restaurant was good and a reasonable price
If you need breakfast it’s a five minute walk to the sister hotel round the corner as they don’t do breakfast the hotel.
Our only fault was the soap dispenser near the wash hand basin was broken apart from that we enjoy our stay and would go back.

The Clubhouse Hotel was a pleasant surprise. A boutique hotel on a quiet street with a beautiful, well appointed room with large bathroom with shower and tub, heated towels, great size TV, comfortable bed, sitting area, desk, table. The restaurant offered great food choices and drinks with quality service. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
Parking was plentiful and free, and if you were looking for alternative transport the town bus station is an easy ten minute walk (with bus service every half hour to Inverness) and the train station is only a fifteen minute walk.
We were given a option of breakfast at a nearby sister property, since the restaurant is not open for breakfast.
Overall, a great place, and one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland!

Booked for two nights for a wedding at the hotel in May and paid in full upfront.

When the hotel had to close due to the national lockdown they said they would have to cancel our reservation. Very disappointing but we’ll just have our money back and be on our way. Unfortunately the hotel manager didn’t see things this way. Despite several requests, he refused to refund our money and would only give us a rebooking to use in the next year. Well since the wedding was off and I live in a different country that’s not much use to me.

I have a lot of sympathy for (the rest of) the hospitality industry, but do the honourable thing by your customers. And if you don’t want to do the honourable thing, do what is legal. It was my legal right to get a cash refund since they had cancelled the booking. After repeatedly refusing to refund the money he then said he wouldn’t discuss it further and if I wasn’t happy then I could take him to court. What a way to deal with your customers!

Whilst tempting as it was to take him to court, I decided on the easier route and spoke to my credit card company, who managed to get the money back. Funnily enough, the hotel didn’t contest it.

Unfortunately there are many others from the wedding party who were treated just as bad and in the case of the bride and groom, much much worse.

I can’t speak for the quality of the hotel itself but I would recommend avoiding doing any business with these people.

Booked a room for 5 April 2020 through Booking.com
The hotel then cancelled my booking due to COVID-19 and sent an email stating that I would not be charged for the stay. I called and spoke to someone who confirmed that my credit card would be refunded in full.
No repayment received and radio silence since then. Nobody answers phone or responds to emails.
Will soon be going to my lawyer to take action to receive the refund due.
Dreadful customer service.

I arrived and no one was at the front desk. I rang the bell and waited for a while before a young man came down. He gave me my key but did not direct me to my room or take me there. It took a little while to find as I was outside separate to the main hotel.
I’d had a busy journey traveling from England, I had been in the car for eight hours.
The amenities were basic and definitely need of a re-Ferb. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Nairn over the past two months and this I have to say for the price you pay was very disappointing.
At 11 o’clock at night I was woken by three or four Indian staff members shouting and being very loud and raucous right outside my window. They were smoking marijuana and my window was open. My room was filled with smoke as I was on ground floor accommodation . I suffer from asthma.
I asked them to stop they did not do so immediately. And only on my second time of asking and being irate did they then go?
I was then really worried that my car would be damaged as they had my numberplate and could not get to sleep from thinking about this.
I definitely wouldn’t go back there again when there’s so many other hotels of a much higher standard . No one was on the front desk in the morning to take my complaint . Disappointing

I gave them a 1 star as you cannot give a zero.

Arrived with partner and 4 year old son to find hotel locked up and numbers on door for contact were out of service. After a bit of digging we found there was an associated hotel 5 minutes away. When we went to see them they advised us yes they have our booking for clubhouse and took us around to an empty unmanned hotel with no breakfast or meal availability. We were taken to the annexe room we booked to find it filthy and uninhabitable and were told the hotel is being given up soon as no staff but we were welcome to stay seeing as we paid. A ridiculous statement. Avoid at all costs as the hotel owners are just trying to get you to stay at extra cost at nearby The west end hotel making out they are doing you a favour.

We stayed there 23 September 2022, as pointed out by Jez S below, the stairs to rooms 7-9 are steep, narrow with very shallow steps, certainly not suitable for elderly and I don't know how Building Control allow such a dangerous access stair. Second problem was no breakfast is served at the hotel, we had to take a 10 minute walk in pouring rain to West End Hotel and present a breakfast voucher. Third problem was no 'Dinners', all that was available were fast food bar suppers served in the bar. We also learned that West End Hotel only serve breakfasts and if you stay there and wasn’t dinner, guess where you have to go ... around the corner to Clubhouse Hotel, for a bar supper! The one star rating is for the Manageress at The Clubhouse, she seemed to have to do everything, I don't know how she coped.

We were in Nairn for a funeral and booked this only days before our stay. We originally only wanted 2 rooms for 1 night but I called and changed it to 2 nights. I am SO glad we did. Its an amazing super clean hotel. Really warm in the rooms and the rooms are really really lovely. On the day of the funeral we had an hour before the church service. We went back to gthe hotel as its close to the church. The girl doing the lunch made us all coffee and sandwiches. Literally nothing was too mych trouble. I will 110% be staying there again. Fantastic breakfast. Good vbalue for money. If I could give it 6 stars I would

Myself and my husband stayed here Sunday to Tuesday. The room was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed a tasty three course meal in the hotel on our first evening and there was a good choice with breakfast both mornings. All staff were very friendly and we will definitely return the next time we are in the area
