What a delight to stay at this perfect small hotel by the sea in Nairn. The family hosts are warm and friendly as well as informative about the local scene. Rooms are well appointed, spotless and with fine views over the Moray Firth. Look out for the flocks of geese flying overhead in the Autumn evenings. We had dinner on... More

We were supposed to stay in Inverness but most hotels were full. By pure chance we selected the Sunny Brae hotel 12 miles away in Nairn. How lucky we were. This is the best little hotel we found so far during our 10 days stay in Scotland. The room was very neat and the view from the hotel is amazing.... More

We had an accessible room on the first floor with two large windows overlooking Moray Firth. The bathroom was large with many grab bars and an open sink. The bedroom was also nice with a king size bed. You could see the see lying in bed. Really a lovely place to stay.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in August and we were bowled over by this place. The food at dinner and breakfast is first class - lots of locally sourced produce, plenty of choice and stylish cooking. The service and attention to detail is remarkable. We paid for a room with a seafront view and it was well... More

We had a family gathering at Sunny Brae because we had heard excellent reviews about it, and we were absolutely not disappointed. Every course we had was excellent and full of character, a nice refreshing change. The staff were naturally friendly, extremely polite and interested in the guests without being overbearing. They listened to all our queries attentively and did... More

Dinner one night and we're back for the second. The food is incredibly good and the hospitality is topnotch. Our fave restaurant in all of Scotland. You must try the cullen skink smoked haddock soup; a weird name for something that resembles nectar of the gods. Had the sea bass one night and sea trout the next. Both were excellent.... More

This is a smashing small family run hotel. Very warm people. Near rooms with lovely touches. An excellent position overlooking the water. And magnificent, magnificent food that stands comparison to any swanky restaurant anywhere in the world. It's that good.
