The Newton Hotel is located in a beautiful spot near the beaches of the North Sea. It has an incredible history. However, it is in dire need of repair and upgrades. We stayed in the Chaplin Suite which was musty and very dusty. I do not recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a night as a Christmas gift and had it not been for the hotel being so busy the night previously, we'd have happily spent our whole weekend (And longer if possible!) in the Newton. The room we had was fantastic with a massive comfy bed and a great power shower in the bathroom. Their are plenty of...

We came to Scotland in search of the elusive Northern Lights. The hotel was very good except we arrived on foot and they have a very long drive to walk up from the nearest bus stop. Our room was great , large with a super warm bathroom. Great views from the upper floor windows. The public rooms were in keeping...

This was our second visit to the Newton, our first visit was a few years ago and we had a good time then, having so many good places to visit this is the reason for such a gap in the revisit. We were not disappointed with, the staff are always more than helpful with a very pleasant manner. Breakfast had...

We were there for a function which included a meal, and an overnight stay. Our first impression was really good- its set in parkland and accessed along a tree lined drive. Impressive. Check in was slick and easy. The room itself was a small suite, with a lovely bathroom. Full wardrobe, desk console and small table plus easy chairs. Only...

We came here for a short break for my husbands birthday. The hotel is spacious and in a lovely location, even has a couple of highland cattle in the grounds. A walk to the sea takes about 10 minutes. Our bedroom was spacious and nicely furnished, however the TV could do with updating. We had dinner in the restaurant on...

The Newton hotel is only a few hundred yard from the main road to Inverness but set in spacious grounds surrounded by mature trees you could imagine you are in a remote highland lodge. There is a comfortable bar with a good selection of the Malt Whiskeys with an excellent menu the breakfast was one of the nicest with my...

This hotel is a 1600's manor house and makes quite a statement when first viewed. Large windows on our triple overlooked the large front lawn and we enjoyed the view while sipping tea and eating cookies that were provided in the room. Take a walk next door to see the Highland cows and then walk on to the wide beach...
