Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An exceptional B&B in a beautiful family home. It has a lot of space to cope with current social distancing guidelines. We had two very comfortable nights with a delicious breakfast each morning. It is west of Elgin and a car is necessary, but there is plenty of off roads parking.

We stayed here for a weekend as had a wedding to attend. The room was lovely, clean & modern yet with a traditional feel in keeping with the house. The breakfast served was delicious and all freshly made to order. The lady who runs the b&b is extremely friendly. I also managed to get out for an hour and explore the grounds which again were stunning (even in the rain) Would definitely visit again for a longer stay to see more of the local area.

Super room with lots of space, great breakfast, helpful and friendly owner - couldn't ask for more. House retains lots of original features but with modern amenities. Easy to get to, lots of parking. Would definitely return again.

Ardgye is a stone-built house, from 1904, with the original charm and features of the original and yet modern facilities. It rates top marks on all normal aspects: the bedrooms we had and the the lounge were all large, well furnished and bright. Breakfast was excellent, well presented and there was plenty of choice. Kerry could not have been more helpful. At 2-3 miles west of Elgin, but set back from the main road, Ardgye is very well-placed as a base from which to see Moray and beyond.

My mother and I stayed here for three nights and used it as our base as we drove around the Elgin/Moray area visiting several places, very good location with lots of parking. I was impressed before we even arrived- our flight into Aberdeen was delayed so we didn’t arrive until past 10pm, I phoned ahead to let Kerry know this, she couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming both on the phone and when we finally arrived. We stayed in the room with three beds, it is certainly more like a suite with the sofa and TV! Very spacious. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and light, good WiFi throughout. Robes were a nice touch also. The breakfast was an absolute highlight with the local foods, and Kerry’s attentiveness especially to any allergies etc was appreciated. Bonus was arriving back one day and Kerry was practicing her bagpipes in the foyer! The entire trip surpassed any expectations and I have zero complaints, coming from someone who is in hotels three nights a week consistently that’s saying something!

The best part was the hostess. Endlessly cheerful, helpful and friendly. With lots of good suggestions for places to eat dinner. Genuinely interested in her guests. Breakfast was a highlight of the day. Perfect, easy to access location right off the A96 on the Inverness side of Elgin. Easy access to whisky country! The rooms were spacious, with tv area, and a heater in case the nights got chilly. Highly recommend.

I’ve stayed twice now with work. It’s a stunning country house filled with lovely antiques and vintage furniture. The couple who own it are friendly and very helpful. You feel very welcome. It’s very clean and you have everything you need. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt and of course the cooked choices as well. The cooked breakfast was really high quality and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Free WiFi throughout. Will definitely stay again.

Probably the biggest square footage we have ever stayed in as 'a room'! Everything was comfortable, welcome was warm. No complaints either about the room, the service or the breakfast. Complimentary robes were a nice touch.

Choose Ardgye House at short notice for a business trip and I’m very glad I did. This is a stunning house with a very impressive hallway and huge rooms. I received a very friendly welcome after a long day at work which was nice. My room was lovely and warm, surprising for such a large space. There was a large lounge downstairs to relax in but my room was equally as comfortable to sit back. I had a great sleep. Breakfast here is very good with lots of choice and care taken to cater for any food allergies etc. Service is very friendly and efficient, I would thoroughly recommend this Bed and Breakfast
