Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly, and everything else was very good. We couldn't find fault with anything. Brecon, our spaniel, really enjoyed his stay as well. We would not hesitate to stay here again if ever we were in the area.

The room was clean, give or take a couple of tea/coffee splashes on the desk. Big comfy bed and I slept well on it. Clean bathroom and nice hot shower. The curtain could be longer though as it left a big puddle on the floor as I stepped out. Like Easyjet, standard amenities like wifi have to be added on as separate payments. Not a big fan of that. Decent buffet breakfast, and again the dining room was nice and clean. Friendly staff too. The building is a good bit outside the town Centre so you'll need a car. All in all it's reasonable value for money and I'll likely stay there again.

Room Tip: You'll need a car to get into town. Plenty fast food places available when you do though.

Stayed here for an extended stay and Ann the receptionist was absolutely lovely, she helped me with whatever I needed in a timely and very professional manner. Also gave us great recommendations about the pubs, restaurants and all the night life in Scotland.

It is a nice modern hotel but spoilt by some avoidable issues during my overnight stay. The rooms are bright and comfortable and the staff including housekeeping were friendly and pleasant. The response given to issues raised on checkout were underwhelming.

2nd visit to Travelodge Elgin and I thought I should give a bit of a review. Staff absolutely brilliant, I didn't have dinner, but on both occasions the breakfast has been excellent. Room was spotless and everything worked. Paid for WiFi £3 for 24hrs was perfect. The only drawback is if you are going into Elgin itself and are going to have a drink a taxi is around tenner

Made a last minute booking for an over-night stay at Travelodge in Elgin. Had a long journey from West Yorkshire and was welcomed and given information about our room, restaurant and bar services. Staff looked happy and ready to assist/help with any queries or requests. Had lovely food there and room was clean, bright and very comfortable; lovely hot shower. No complaints from us 😊 Well done "Team Elgin"🥇🏆 see you again very soon.
