Beautiful clean caravan site right by the river. Facilities spotless. 20min walk into Elgin, either through the housing estate/ riverside walk or down the main road by dr gray hospital. Small playpark for kids, and large football area by reception. Lovely dog walk round the site too. Well kept site with a friendly through full owner. Definitely use this site again. Worth a visit.

Great site, we stayed for 3 nights over the BH weekend, all the facilities needed and spotlessly clean. Very quiet and an easy 25 mins walk into Elgin town centre. Touring pitches have been relayed recently, easy check in with Christine and Kevin was around to support with any issues, he was resetting the free site Wifi as we arrived. There is a BBQ area however we didn't get the weather for that, cold and wet that weekend. But we'd recommend the site and if in the area again would re-book.

used this site while visiting family in Elgin its a great wee site.the toilets are older but very clean. its a half hour walk to elgin town centre or theres a bus stop across the road from site entrance some of the pitches are not what could be described as level i had one side on 2 inch chocks and my back steadies were very nearly at there limit. great views over the countryside and the river running alongside the site is an added bonus we will definately visit again although i will request a leveller pitch on the whole a great site for visiting elgin and the surrounding area

Beautifully kept, friendly and well situated caravan park. A warm welcome and very helpful wardens. Highly recommended. Plots are well appointed and spacious, and for those of us not so adept at reversing with a caravan, very easy to negotiate. Thanks for your hospitality.

Booked camping for 5 nights (2 adults, 5 kids age 12/8/8/6 and a toddler. Riverside is a lovely camp site clean and lovely clean toilets nice pitches are close together. Only issue we had was it’s supposed to be family friendly and wasn’t very. There’s a tiny park with a set of swings and seesaw. Our kids were glad there was other kids staying they knew so were playing until 9.45 I had just told my girl who is autistic and her friend that she had made at the park who had adhd to stop screaming when the older lady that owns the park came up and told us to keep them quiet as they were loud at the park. Our eldest came running up before this and was worried she would get into trouble for noise as a man came out and swore at them said effing kids. Other kids at the camp heard this and thought it was the same man that owns the site. Our kids are on holiday and the curfew for noise at the camp does state 11pm. Next night it was 8.20 and the man from the park came up to tell us our kids we’re running riot at the park asked my partner what he was staring at. My partner told him they were just kids on holiday and he had sworn to the kids and he then asked but our kids were too scared to say. He said there are residents here. I honestly felt they were just running to the park back n for playing maybe they were a bit loud but they are kids . Next morning our boy was playing with a ball with another boy and they was told to stop and that there was a set of goals at the side of the park at the entrance to the park. There is one old wooden goal and its in a field next to the park beside the main road. The boy from another tent asked his mum to go home. We spent the rest of our holiday trying to keep them from being too noisy. It’s a shame as the park is lovely and it’s well situated, beautiful place. Not very safe for a toddler either next to a river. The elderly couple beside us was also asked if the kids were annoying him and he said no they loved watching them also a lovely lady and her daughter in her camper parked beside the tent said the same they loved watching them play. Maybe people with very young kids that would just sit and play this would be idea or older kids age 11 yr that would sit and chill, but any in between kids need to burn off energy. Would be great if there was a small park for the campers/kids staying that was away from the static caravans as the playpark is situated right in the middle and the statics look onto it. Also it if they are going to be giving kids into trouble for making noise they should pree warn campers or just don’t make the site family friendly as I don’t think it is. Won’t be back unfortunately unless our kids can just be kids and enjoy their holiday…

Sorry you felt this way…But we haven’t had any other complaints about it not being child friendly ! We aren’t Butlin’s…we are a quiet site on the outskirts of Elgin. Every site has rules for safety and conduct and if you took the time to read them all you will have seen that children have to be supervised and not allowed to run wild around a caravan site for obvious reasons. They were left to have fun until we got complaints from other people on the site about the noise levels and the kids running in and out of the caravans. The first night you were advised was day 3 of your stay and at least 7 kids screaming, shouting and running around is not acceptable or safe at 21:45 when light was fading and there was traffic in and out of the site. But you wouldn’t have known that because you were both sitting in your tent seeing and hearing nothing. As for the curfew the rule states “Noise should be kept to a minimum, especially between the hours of 11pm and 8am”. The second night I went up early because I witnessed one of your boys swinging a large stick around hitting it off the fence and pointing it at the other kids. I went up to have a friendly word with you and all the kids ran screaming to your tent before I even got a chance to talk to them. I was met by your partner staring me out and accusing me of swearing at the kids. As I stated I never and would never swear at any kids or customers. As I said the person who swore was probably one of the other caravaners who was at his wits end with the screaming, shouting and running around. As for football as stated in the rules that your partner liked to quote…there is no ball games allowed anywhere in the park except in the enclosed field well away from other caravans and tents. Also just like to say that your neighbours weren’t that happy about your kids behaviour because they stated on leaving that you spoilt their holiday and would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for kids were running over their tent and kicking the ball off their vehicle. Unfortunately I cannot and wouldn’t be able to remove a river from our site and you obviously knew it was there as the site is called Riverside. I don’t think I would have much custom if I was to “pre warn” other customers and being family friendly isn't about allowing kids to run wild from 8am till 10pm unsupervised around a site with other peoples valuable property. My role is to keep everyone safe, happy and be able to enjoy their time on the site.

Outstanding site for a couple of nights Motorbike camping. Campsite was in a great location with a fire pit to gather round at night. Toilet block was spotless and obviously kept that way at all times. Would thoroughly recommend this site if you’re ever up this way.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our visit to Riverside, Elgin. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who was always available for information or just a chat. The site is very attractive and well maintained, with many flowers and shrubs. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean, well done to the cleaning staff! No negatives. Loved it. Will be back!

Just spent a fantastic 2 weeks at Riverside. Friendly site that is quiet and well run with a mix of privately owned statics, touring pitches and a small camp ground for tents. Cleanest toilets and showers I've found with the added bonus of a bath if that's what you prefer. On site laundry facilities with a whirly to dry your washing on. As the names suggests, the site is located next to the River Lossie and if you're lucky you might catch a glimpse of the local Otter. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area. The beaches along the Moray coast are spectacular. Lots of good places to eat and I',d recommend trying The Ashvale for their fish and chips.

Rang up literally 5 mins before arriving to try and book an electric hook up, the owners were very accommodating and very pleasent to deal with. This site was spotless as were the toilets and showers. Would not hesitate in booking again if we are ever that way again and would recommend to anyone. The park is on the edge of Elgin and is roughly 10 mins walk into the pubs and restaurants
