Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed for a week whilst visiting family in the area. A warm welcome from Zofia, the host, to a lovingly restored and well maintained property in a quiet location close to Elgin centre and the railway station. Lovely, tastefully decorated rooms with excellent facilities. A real credit to the owner. Breakfasts were ample and of high quality with a reasonable choice of menu. On-site parking is limited to 2 or 3 cars and is well away from the road. The bathroom was excellent with a large bath, although the lack of a shower facility may be a problem for some people. A really comfortable bed and the room had traditional internal shutters to give blackout sleeping for those who need it. I couldn't fault the peace and relaxation of my week here. The host is clearly passionate about offering a top quality stay at a reasonable price. I arrived as a tourist and felt I left as a friend. Top marks for hospitality.

Moraybank is a really lovely B&B and we can certainly recommend it. Zophia is an absolutely wonderful host and can't do enough for her guests. She is very welcoming and so helpful, putting herself out to make sure your stay is memorable. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is an event in itself! Zophia excels in the full English breakfast - we can certainly reccomend it. The house is set back from the road, so no annoying traffic noise. Both house and gardens are well kept and the whole experience of staying at Moraybank is really great. We will certainly be going back next time we visit Elgin.

We had an enjoyable stay at Moraybank B&B. The bedroom, bathroom and shower room were large, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Zofia was the perfect hostess and related the interesting history of the impressive building. It is in a nice quiet location near the city centre. Breakfast was very good. Should we visit the area again this B&B will be top of the list for accommodation.

Centrally positioned in a quiet elegant part of Elgin within a short distance of the town centre. This very comfortable accommodation hosted by a charming and friendly lady, Zofia, offers great value for money. The property is clean and traditionally decorated. Breakfast is first class and cooked to order. I would highly recommend. Gary Marshall

(At first: Dear Zofia: I'm terribly sorry for writing the review soooo late :-| "the everyday" catched us instantly after our return... i'm really sorry for that, because it doesn't fit the hospitality we've experienced... So by now i hope to get rid of my "debts" :)) ) We've stayed at Moray Bank B&B for 4 nights and it was the best choice for staying in Elgin we could have made :) If you don't just want to sleep comfortable somewhere, but want to have a convenient stay with FLAIR, too - Moray Bank B & B and your host Zofia is the right choice for you. If you have an eye for the details of an old, victorian house...the carved legs of a table, an old doorbell and so on...go visit Moray Bank B&B and ask Zofia (she's an expert!) and surely you will have an interesting chat. We had :) !! Every room we booked was perfectly tidy and the superb breakfast will give you just the right start into the day. Ask Zofia if you're not sure what to visit, she'll give you hints & leaflets or books (and maybe some nice stories, too :) ) . She's a very nice and warm-hearted lady (she searched for and gave our mom with her broken arm (three weeks before our trip -.-' ) a supporting bandage) and a superb designer of cakes (if you're lucky you'll see some photos of her creations) Zofia, thank you so much for the nice, relaxing days und all the best for a healthy and happy new year 2020! Jörn Timmel from Riesa/ Saxony/ Germany
