From the Hospitality of the owner, the fantastic & comfortable 4 poster bed and the sheer beauty of this old building I'd recommend this guest house to anyone. Your not booking the Hilton treetops or the Radisson Blu it's a family run guest house which is a historic building in a historic town full of character and worth every penny

So, we required accomodation in the Moray area and viewed The Pines several times but we were covcerned about possible traffic noise, situated as it is on the fairly busy A96. But there were no such problems, a traditional house if its kind, and possible listed, double glazing is installed inside the windows so the style is unaffected and any... More

My husband and I stayed here this weekend as we attended a friend's wedding. Due to a problem with the trains I emailed the owner to inform him we were going to be late. When we finally arrived we were given a very warm welcome and he directed us to various outlets where we could have something to eat. The... More

The online photo of the Pine Guesthouse had me little prepared for the area of Elgin this manor house was located: edge of town and industrial area. The interior and room (quite large) was exquisite, charmingly decorated. Fine, modern bathroom. Coffee, tea & biscuits in the room (as we found in most places, pleasant hospitality). Good wifi. From the room... More

This was a beautiful guest home on nicely landscaped garden. The staff (Mandy) was exceptional. She was attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. The home is lovely with nice appointments in the common areas. Breakfast was delicious! Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs was a winner! Kettle in the room was handy. We had... More

Welcoming host, beautiful house, everything was very clean, nice breakfast, close to high street where you find Gordon & McPhail whisky shop. We stayed in room 2 which had one window to the side and one towards the front. Parking right infront of the house. Great price as well!

This is a gem of a bed & Breakfast house. The welcome is efficient and warm. Our room had a very comfortable four poster bed complete with curtains and matching side tables. The full Scottish breakfast goes near to busting the English belly but we managed to survive. We thoroughly recommend The Pines.

After a mixup with the booking we were shown to a lovely room (Managers own room). Although the room faced the main road there was little noise. Breakfast was really good and set my wife and I up for the day. A pleasure

I have stayed at The Pines before but a very long time ago and as my partner and I had been invited to a social event in Elgin, I decided to return as it was handy and I knew that the price was good as was the service from memory. We were met by the owner, a very affluent and... More
