Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The B&B was very clean and well kept as was our room. Breakfast was well done and we found the owners to be responsive and attentive. It's a quick drive to the center of the town where there are many nice cafes and shops. Would highly recommend.

Response from Derrybeg BandB, Owner at Derrybeg Bed and Breakfast
Responded 13 Nov 2023
Hi maxypaxxy Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your recent stay at Derrybeg. We are delighted to see that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you enjoyed the Derrybeg experience. We note that you decided to drive into the town and although as you said, its a very short drive, walking into the town centre is actually quicker using the pedestrian access. This situation normally sees most of our gust leave their cars in our free private car park and simply stroll the few minutes walk into the high street. Either way, we are delighted to head that you enjoyed your trip to Pitlochry and hopefully we can see you again the next time you are in Scotland. Kind Regards Ronnie & Lesley

Had the most wonderful stay at the Derrybeg, our room was beautiful with the most fantastic views. Ronnie and Lesley were fantastic hosts that went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. They are very knowledgeable of the local area, and gave us some great recommendations for our visit. The breakfast was 1st class and the variety of choice was second to none.

We had a fabulous 2 night stay with Lesley & Ronnie at the Derrybeg. They were warm and welcoming hosts and went above and beyond to accommodate us when the rail system shut down unexpectedly. They were the best hosts we had in our 2 week trip in Scotland. My Dad turned 80 when we were staying there and there was a card with chocolates waiting for him at the breakfast table. (My Dad has kept that card on his desk at home) What we appreciated: the delicious breakfast (French toast, bacon, coffee from Holland, and white grapefruit sections), the giant white fully towels, the clean rooms, the extra space to hang out (garden outside, a living room inside, and a sun room), drives to/from the train station, and the thoughtful touches (our name on the breakfast table, very detailed information about the area, and time for conversation). Having stayed at other B&B's with very rigid check-in/out times, we also appreciated their flexibility with respect to timing. Something to consider: The location is excellent! Just a 10 minute walk (up a slight hill) from the town's main street. The distance would be a consideration for anyone with limited mobility though. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Excellent accommodation run by a very friendly couple. The guest house has a lovely view at the rear with a summerhouse. Our room (Macmillan) was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice with an excellent choice. Hopefully return soon.

We had a fabulous weekend at the award winning Derrybeg B&B in beautiful Pitlochry. Ronnie and Lesley are outstanding hosts. The welcome was warm and this continued throughout our stay. It's clear that they both love what they do and are genuinely concerned with providing a great service. The property is perfect from the tastefully decorated lounge and dining room with views of the hills to the Scottish themed bedrooms. It is immaculate throughout and there is a lovely wee sit ootirie to enjoy the garden and a pre dinner drink. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all dietary requirements with our order taken the evening before. Ronnie even offers a private pick up/ drop off service if required. They simply go above and beyond what would be expected. Thank you both for a lovely weekend, we will be back !!

This was our 2nd visit to Derrybeg - in fact we changed the dates of our 3 night stay in order to ensure we could stay here. And then we found out that they opened on the Tuesday especially to enable us to stay! (normally closed on a Monday and Tuesday). Fantastic service - great hosts - loads of laughs! Attention to detail incredible - they even remembered my friend's quirky breakfast request from 12 months ago! There's loads more I could say - if you want to stay in Pitlochry, this is the place! No wonder they have just won an award for the Best B & B in Perthshire and district. We will be back!

This was our first visit to the Derrybeg B&B (16th Aug 23). The owners: Ronnie and Lesley were very welcoming. The property had a lovely fresh, clean feel to it - modern decor and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - couldn't ask for better. We only stayed for one night on this trip, but I have no doubt that we will return. Highly recommended. Hamish McSporran.
