Set in three acres, the Green Park is within strolling distance of the shops and a pleasant walk from the Pitlochry Festival Theater. The Green Park hotel is run by two generations of the McMenemie family, in a manner suitable to the character of the house and its setting.

Dear Ian, Great to welcome you back to the Green Park and many thanks for your lovely comments - your support is very much appreciated by us all. Here the latest news is that we are on guard duty for a duck who has laid ten eggs in one of the flower troughs near to reception. I know that the crows are only doing their job, but we are busy chasing them away from the nest. As such apologies if reception don't answer your call straight away ! Thanks again for your super review and hopefully we will have some strapping ducklings to tell you about this September. Best regards, Alistair

Dear MintcakeKendal, Great to get your review this morning and many thanks for taking the plunge by choosing to join us at Pitlochry and the Green Park. This morning has featured a fair showing of lycra as a number of our guests are competing in the Etape Cycle Race. While parts of me admire their youthful enthusiasm, the more sensible parts of me would disagree - especially the shrapnel wound in my knee that I picked up during the Boer War. Thanks again for your support and we will definitely hold you to your promise to return to the Green Park ! Best regards, Alistair

This was our 3rd visit to The Green Park and the very high standards are maintained. Excellent staff who are always happy to help, delicious food and everywhere in the hotel is spotlessly clean. We had recently spent a few days at Gleneagles and we both agreed that, in our opinion, Green Park is superior in almost every area. We certainly hope to return soon and would be happy to give a high recommendation to anyone.

Dear Yvonne, Many thanks for your most recent stay at the Green Park and for your generous review - and apologies for my delay in replying. The technical reason was "my wee circle thingy kept burrling about on the screen for days and wouldn't let me do anything". This Friday sees the grand re-opening of the Festival Theatre and the start of this summer's musical 'Sunshine on Leith'. They have had quite a time of it over the last two years and it will be great for everyone to see the building and company come back to life again. Thanks again for putting a smile on everyones face herea nd we look forward to welcoming you to the Green Park again. Best regards, Alistair

This was our second visit to Green Park, and it was just as we remembered from 2019. The whole hotel is beautifully furnished in a traditional style and the atmosphere is one of quiet calm which made us feel instantly relaxed. Catering for the mature guest, comfort and service are excellent. The food is also top class and a very good choice of menu. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and are always ready with a smile as you meet them around the hotel. This hotel certainly rates No 1 with us, and we have booked again for next year. This time in the Tower wing, looking forward to it already! Jonathan and Marilyn Walker.

Dear Jonathan, Many thanks for returning to us at the Green Park for a repeat visit - we couldn't do it without you ! Here we are all eagerly awaiting the reopening of the Festival Theatre. What a period they have had. They must have planned for a certain amount of upheaval with their redevelopment, but who could have predicted the path of the last two years ? They must really be looking forward to being up and running again. We hope they all 'break a leg' - in a nice way. We look forward to welcoming you both next year and thanks again for your great review. Best regards, Alistair

We visited The Green Park for the fifth time in the last 12 months (which speaks for itself). Our visit was in March, so sincere apologies for the delay in writing this review however we've reviewed the hotel so often, TripAdvisor wouldn't let us write another until now :) As always everything was truly excellent, the food totally amazing, and the owners and staff so so helpful and welcoming and best of all with such a great sense of humour. Everyone goes so far above and beyond the call of duty. The number of guests who return to the hotel is no co-incidence as once you've experienced the welcome, the food, the cleanliness, the helpfulness, the stunning surroundings (situated on the banks of Loch Faskally), the spacious rooms, the attention to every small detail, and the owner and staff's unwavering desire to ensure you have a really quality stay with them, you'll want to return The Green Park is run like a Swiss clock with a sense of humour My previous reviews go in to more detail of the many qualities so I won't bore you with every detail yet again, however, please feel free to check them out if you haven't already seen them, but be ready for the new edition of War and Peace:) At the end of the day pretty much nothing I could say would prepare you - you really should experience it for yourself Cannot wait to see the owners and staff again as soon as possible. After just one stay, you will class these people as friends, as we have.

Dear Lizzie, Great to have you both back with us at the Green Park and rest assured that you would be the clear winner if there ever was a prize given by Trip Advisor for generous reviews ! Your support and kindness really do give us all such a lift. Here the task of the day is choosing the layout for a new staff kitchen. How this process normally works is that myself and Donald from RW Bell mull it over for a while and then get a women to tell us how it should actually be done. Simple really, but we still like to think that we contribute at some level. Many thanks again for such a great review and we hope to see you again soon. Best regards, Alistair , Diane and the rest of the team

Only spent one night, but found it to be well maintained with interesting artwork and attentive friendly service. Family run with pride and some humour. Beautiful situation on the loch, with well kept gardens and quality sculpture. Food was excellent and breakfast as good as we have had. Some nice complementary extras such as afternoon tea and cake, and pre dinner sherry. Furnishing style a bit old fashioned, and the guests, who are often loyal returnees, tend to be retirees. Rooms were spotless and spacious. If you are (possibly in your golden years and) looking for a quiet stay in a beautiful location with excellent food then this is the place.

Dear ImacGlasgow, Many thanks from us all for choosing to join us at the Green Park and posting your charming review. I have only two bones to pick with you. I hope you realise we spend a lot of time, effort and money trying to look this old fashioned, and - after this mornings busy breakfast - I feel that I am well and truly in the midst of my own golden years. I should not have to work this hard at my age in life ! Great to have you at the Green Park and we hope to welcome you again. Best regards, Alistair

Another anniversary visit to The Green Park and what can I say? If you would enjoy a visit to a hotel that works on trust, provides exceptional service and excellent food all set in the most scenic location then the Green Park and its values are probably for you. Unless you have a time-machine you will not find it easy to find another hotel that operates so seamlessly in providing its guests with what can only be described as "the perfect" stay. The number of returning guests speaks for itself. Thanks again for another most enjoyable stay and look forward to being back!!

Dear Ian L, Many thanks for returning to us again at the Green Park and congratulations on another anniversary. Your wonderful review has brought a smile to us all here this morning. When I saw the heading 'stuck in a time-warp' I thought it was Diane having another go at me for my dress sense. I don't see what is wrong with shopping at Marks and Spencers once a year, and what is wrong with grey as a colour ? Grey is the new black. Thanks again from us all for your continued support. Best regards, Alistair

Arrived on a Monday afternoon and had a very warm welcome from staff and the owners. Check in was straight forward and were given the tour of the hotel by owner. Covid precautions were in place as was in Scotland. Room was quite small but we knew this in advance. Room was warm welcoming and beautifully presented. Had all the usual facilities, tea coffee etc, had fridge, trouser press and TV. Owners had arranged for sparkling wine and chocolates as we were celebrating late Birthdays. Having settled then went down to sun lounge were complimentary tea, coffee and cake was available. This happens every morning and afternoon. That night went to dinner restaurant was fantastic beautifully presented and the food was immaculate. Staff brilliant nothing was to much trouble. Menu selection was great. Again this level of service and food was there everyday. Grounds also brilliant lots to see and brilliant views of the Loch and places to sit and rest.. Forgot to mention earlier our room had outside balcony with great views. There was absolutely nothing to detract from this stay. Probably the best place we have stayed and if anybody is debating whether to come, all I can say is don't delay book. We will definitely be back

Dear Grasue1960, Many thanks for taking the plunge and joining us at Pitlochry and the Green Park, and great to read that you lived to tell the tale ! Your positive comments really do give us all such a lift. Here at the hotel we have just completed the last of our activity breaks for the year. For those who have an image of bungy jumping and water canyoning when they think of guest activities, then think again. Our activities tend more towards the cerebral with Literary History, Cryptic Crosswords and Creative Writing amongst the topics to choose from. Feel the burn as they say. Many thanks again fopr your review and we will hold you both to your promise to return to the Green Park. Best regards, Alistair

On whatever aspect of hospitality The Green Park Hotel is judged, it always scores top marks. From the outstanding service via the superb comfort of the hotel to the high quality of its locally produced menus, we can’t think of a better place to stay. Thank you for making us so welcome and congratulations to Alistair and staff for having made such sterling efforts to make sure that whilst all are Covid safe, the essential experience of the hotel has not been diminished at all. Looking forward to our next visit !

Dear Hillsidejane, Great to have you back at the Green Park, and a big thank you from us all for your very generous review. What a boost it gives all of us ! Here at the hotel our activty breaks are up and running. Today marks the start of our Scottish Winter Nature Break, not to be confused with a possible naturalist break as cheekily suggested by a guest. Far too cold. We will be sure to hold you to your promise to return to us at the GP and thanks again for your support. Best regards, Alistair

We have just had another fantastic holiday at the Green Park Hotel. Everything about the hotel is excellent from the staff being helpful. The room was clean with comfortable beds. The food at breakfast lunch and dinner was always the best. Nothing else to say except we are booked in for 3 more holidays next year.
