Beautiful lobby and lounge area with fire, comfy sofas, bar, and Scrabble! Excellent vegetarian sausage at breakfast. Staff polite and welcoming. Room was also very nice. We'd certainly stay here again.

Spent two nights here at the Pine Trees. Booked a superior room which was beautifully clean and had a sitting area with table and useful lamp. Had dinner on second night which was of a very high standard. Cooked breakfast on both days was delicious but it would perhaps be worth the hotel looking at what is on offer buffet...

Overnight stop here with my dog at this lovely hotel. Single ensuite room was clean and comfortable, bathroom a little basic and in need of a regrout but shower worked fine and again was spotless. Dinner was included in my rate and was good if a little 'fussy' with the selection of extra bits with the main course but that...

Just stayed over Valentine's Day weekend for a couple of nights. Is expensive but not so much difference in price from other hotels in the area. On arrival we had a member pf staff help us with our bags and we were advised immediately which keys to use (the outer door is locked at around 11pm) and shown to our...

1st trip to this hotel and well we will be back. The hotel is situated up a very steep hill (only downside of this weekend.) Our room was great, a very large bed spotlessly clean and spacious. We booked for one night diner, bed and breakfast. The staff were all very nice and nothing seemed to be a problem to...

My mum and sister were both born on the same day (different years, obviously!), and this year they celebrated their 70th and 40th birthdays. My sister and I both have young families and when we have get-togethers with the whole family we rarely get time to talk. This was a precious get-away for me to treat Mum and my sister...

This is a very traditional Scottish highland hotel, with all the classic old fashioned carpets, furniture, ornaments and pictures. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. Having stayed here before and not been particularly impressed by the room, I paid a bit extra for a superior double room. Although there was nothing superior about the location...

Stayed here for 2 nights from 27-29 January. We were attending a wedding nearby. Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We were in room 2 which had a fantastic view of the hotel grounds. I loved the original features and the coal fire in main sitting area was great on a cold weekend. Bed was comfortable and the rest of...

Had my dog with me on business. I got a fabulous lodge and enjoyed a great stay. Staff good and food was great. Lovely place to relax and stay. Well looked after property, which meant that it was clean and well maintained. Highly recommended

A three night break over New Year. The hotel was full and we had a modern, spacious room in the nearby annexe. The staff looked after us exceptionally well and the dinners were very good indeed, though they had run out of some selections by the time it came to our turn on the last night. The public rooms are...

“Super double is well with extra money per night over a standard double”

“The suite was perfect, but was baking hot and we had to turn all the heating off to be able to sleep comfortably. A bag of recycling waste was left outside our room for the entirety of our stay. These are small items that did not in any way cancel out our great enjoyment of our stay. Best regards. ”
