Me and 2 friends stayed here for a small adventure holiday. The staff were so welcoming and happy to help especially during the current pandemic. Each day we were up early for activities we had planned and the breakfasts were perfect for what we needed to start out day and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable after climbing munros and doing water sports. Ii would most certainly stay here again.

A very very nice hotel ,nothing to look at outside but once inside it is truly very tastefully decorated ,the staff were very friendly & helpful nothing was too much trouble for them , booking in due to Covid 19 was very easy , the room which was on the upper floor was very spacious & clean , the bed was very comfortable as well , the view overlooking the hills were amazing as welll, the only complaint was the TV wasnt that good ,the signal wasnt strong enough & we were limited to 2 channels only.
We booked into the restaraunt at night & were amazed & delighted by the ambience & the decor of the room ,again very tastefully decorated , music in the background was limited to 1 speaker so we could hold a conversation withouth having to shout at each other, food was very good & reasonably priced as well .
Overall we would highly recommed the Arcasaid if yiou are staying in Pitlochry

Very friendly welcome. Super view over the Perthshire hills. Rooms very hot windows don't open though in room we had. A few minor paint touch ups needed but overall very good quality. Breakfast is beautiful with very hot food and served quickly and efficiently. With Covid, there are plenty of handsanitisers around the building and in rooms, keys are in bags for you and extra bins in hallways for rubbish due to Limited room cleans as expected. Cosy bar with gorgeous log fire.

I have just returned from a couple of nights stay at this hotel. 14th to 16th February. We arrived around 7pm had to wait 15 minutes before anyone appeared to check us in at which point they had charged us an extra £144 for an extra room we didn't book and then £52 for a bottle of champagne we didn't order. Found out it was for a different room who had already paid for it cash!!!!
Got to our room a bit small but it was ok and very clean. It was far too warm but thought I can deal with that.
Had a really good night sleep. Had breakfast and that too was nice. Went up for a shower a cold shower I might add and it was the same on Sunday morning.
Had to check out for 10.30am then again got charged £56 for a bar tab. We questioned this as we got 5 drinks and two soft drinks only to be told oh dear we seem to have charged you £30 too much for you drinks. £2.70 for a can of cola that they get out the cash and carry for 50p absolutely outrageous.
If we didn't enquire about all these extra charges we would have been £226 out of pocket.
So if you want to be robbed by all means go to the Acarsaid.
We did get a oh sorry but it wasn't genuine.

Not quite accurate but not worth arguing with you as you wouldn’t accept at the time that you made a mistake when booking - you did make the booking didn’t you yes through booking.com so you made the errors not us Seems you have forgotten that fact !! Oh & one of your party ordered the champagne - sorry if they didn’t want to pay for it themselves but I think you’ll find that they charged it again not us Don’t put dishonest reports on Trip Advisor you only embarrass yourself

After staying previously at this hotel, I wanted to come back. This time round our experience was shocking and very disappointing. Checked in at 3pm to be told someone had already been checked into our room, the receptionist then asked the guests to pack up so this could be fixed. I asked the receptionist if our room would need cleaned or sanitised as the hotel still has all of the Covid signs up throughout the hotel. The receptionist checked the room and said it was fine for us to head along. Once getting into the room we noticed the bed my 8 yr old daughter would be sleeping in had hair on the pillow case and the bed has been laid on. The soap in the bathroom had been used, urine on the toilet seat also, after going back to reception who told us the room was fine. We got told the hotel was fully booked so couldn’t be moved, our bathroom got cleaned and the spare bed got changed. We sat in the bar area whilst this was done. Evenly we got back to our room only to find water coming through the light in the bathroom and blood over the 2 beds which were close together, we had friends staying in the room next to us also had this issue with blood on the bed sheets. This was now after 5pm and which I had to head back to reception were I met a lady called Diane. After sharing my issues with Diane she checked the water coming through the light with the room above us who clearly had a shower with the door open, I explained to Diane that I was very unhappy with the service I was given and my experience was very stressful and not relaxing as we had hoped. I was then told the hotel was fully booked and if I wanted my money back I could go and find somewhere else to stay, now that was a terrible response to a paying guest. We had drove over 3 hours to get to visit the enchanted forest that weekend, everywhere was fully booked. Terrible service. All beds were changed whilst we headed out. We slept very well. Breakfast was an experience also, I think all the workers knew we were the room that were complaining and issues, Diane seated guests to the table asking there stay was and making good conversation and explained about the buffet and the hot plates etc. when it came to us being seated, no room number was asked and we were pointed to our table and not told anything about breakfast, good job we heard the previous conversation. I’ve never felt to unwelcome. It came to check out and no one was anywhere to be seen, we left our room key at reception and left feeling so let down. I wouldn’t be recommending this hotel to anyone in the future.

I think Diane probably did the right thing offering you a full refund as your aggressive attitude made her feel very uncomfortable.

This hotel is:- warm and welcoming; spacious and well designed; spotlessly clean; situated well in relation to the centre of the town; a high quality eating place ( for both breakfast and dinner); good value for money.
However, our stay was marred by our Hogmanay experience in the bar. We had been informed the bar was opening an hour longer than usual ie until midnight. We did not realise how literal that statement was. At 12.05.am, the staff member switched off the lights and fire, said she hoped we all had our room keys and left. - An abrupt end to the evening indeed. It was the first, and we very much hope the last time we shall feel so unwelcome as hotel residents.
To end in a positive note, big Karen was on duty in New Year's Day and her hilarious stories soon put a smile back on our faces - she missed her vocation as a stand up comedian ( Susan Calman eat your heart out). The entertaining double act with Diane at breakfast also deserves a mention.
This could have been a perfect hotel stay, unfortunately, negative experiences stick.

This was our 5th visit and it just gets better and better.
The staff are so genuinely welcoming and couldn't be more helpful.
This time we had a room at the front and with stunning views to the hills, it was magical when it started to snow.
2 conservatories where you could relax with a drink and read the papers chilled me out totally.
Wonderful breakfast with something for everyone.
It’s only a 5 minute walk into the Town Centre and we cant wait to come to Acarsaid again.

We stayed here for 2 nights 1st - 3rd April and received a warm welcome from Paul. Room was spotlessly clean and towels were lovely and soft. Bed was super comfy and King size. They are obviously Covid conscious as there are plenty of sanitising stations throughout the hotel as well as in the room. Lovely bar area and good selection of drinks available. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and good quality ingredients. The scrambled eggs were the best I've had! There is free WiFi and parking and the hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the town centre. (I can highly recommend Victoria's for food) All staff we encountered at the Acarsaid were friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back.

My better half surprised me with a night away on my birthday. After a day of working delivering letters she picked me up and drove north to Pitlochry for The Acarsaid.
We checked in and we to our room which was beautiful. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with more than enough towels and enough space to swing a cat. It was nice to enter a nice warm room also.
After a meal in the town we came back to sit in front of the fire with a pint of cider. Sadly there was no pear but that's fine ;) It was love to sit in front of the fire and relax but it was time to bed.
We came down for breakfast and had a fully cooked breakfast, we were glad to see that the kitchen was able to cater for my other half with some gluten free options.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place itself was lovely. Would happily visit again.

We stayed there last night as a middle stop on our way to the highlands. The receptionist gave us a very warm welcome and was very friendly. The bed was super comfy and large, we mentioned we would be bringing our dog and it was a nice touch to see they left some very nice dog amenities (natural and good quality treats as well, thank you!).
But the best part was breakfast, just incredible! This hotel actually offers a better breakfast than some 5 star hotels we’ve visited before, the smoked haddock was absolutely incredible, the bread was delicious and you could tell it was of a good quality, everything was just superb!
Thank you for looking after us so well, would definitely recommend!!
