Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is a great little hotel with plenty free parking at the front and rear of hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was ideal with views of the countryside at the back and the town and hills at the front. With full Scottish breakfast to start the day it was perfect, then an evening meal in the Cidsin restaurant with a few drinks to follow in the bar, it made for the perfect weekend. Will definitely hope to book again next time in Pitlochry.

Hotel's Favourite
We had the most enjoyable two nights stay in Craigvrack Hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the hotel prior to check-in and after check-out (before our train). Our twin room was quite basic and not very spacious, but clean and we had everything we needed, including the kettle, hairdryer and enough storage space for two people for two nights. The view from the window (room 14) was amazing - we saw the hills from the window. The shower wasn’t hugely powerful but temperature was easily adjustable, so that you could have hot shower if preferred. The shower cubicle was spacious. Toiletries (hand wash, shower gel/shampoo) were provided. There wasn’t much shelf space to keep our toiletries in the bathroom - only one smallish shelf. We visited on very hot days, so the room was quite warm, but when we opened the window the temperature became quite pleasant. The breakfast room was spacious and light, with very nice atmosphere. We just wanted to sit and chat there. Very nice start for your day. The breakfast delicious. I had porridge and omelette both mornings, and my friend had omelette and toast. Staff in the breakfast room was very friendly and helpful. We were offered juice and hot drinks when seated at the table. Cooked breakfast is served, including full Scottish, porridge, eggs cooked in different ways, toast. The hotel is on the hill, this could be an issue for somebody with reduced mobility. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the main street of Pitlochry and the railway station (all the way up the hill). I would stay there again if we visit Pitlochry in future.

We had lovely views from our rooms which were a bit on the small side but were quite adequate and were spotlessly clean and fresh looking and the beds were very comfortable. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were very attentive and helpful. We will certainly return next time we are in Pitlochry. Another bonus was on site parking.

Great stopping off point on a Scottish road trip. Good location and our room had a super view of rolling hills. The hotel itself is looking a little tired in places but we’re told a refurb is planned for the off-season. But - the restaurant was absolutely superb. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had anywhere. Lovely, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious - with some different Tiffin small plates to start. It certainly lives up to the hype and deserving of its awards; it was also good to see it was well patronised by locals. The Gin bar had a great selection of gin and whisky. Breakfast was traditional Scottish fare and was equally well presented and very tasty. Recommended if you’re passing through.

Fantastic hospitality, great room, big bathroom, quiet, but short walk from town centre. Fab authentic Indian food. Restaurant/ breakfast room with a lovely view. Lovely breakfast. Free parking right outside the entrance. We'll be back, for sure.

We had an excellent dinner at the Cidsin resturant at the Craigvrack with a big group of friends and family. The staff were great and the food was amazing - strong recommend on getting the Tiffin experience for 2, although probably it would also be fine between 3 people! Thanks for a lovely meal folks 😘

Held a big group dinner here with a lot of family and friends, then moved to the bar for drinks afterwards and every step of the evening was excellent. The food is some of the best in Pitlochry, the service was excellent. A lot of the party ended up getting the Tiffin's between two and the amount of food and quality was incredible. The bar afterwards as well was a really nice relaxed area as well with a great gin selection

Nice Location, friendly staff, clean&good size room. Good breakfast, excellent Indian restaurant with helpful, efficient personnel and great food, what more can you ask? Well: free parking, good size room with coffe-/tea-making facilities, short walk from town centre. A nice touch to have nice wine-glasses in the room, and plenty of storage space.
