Just had another wonderful meal at the Chestnuts. This really is a great place to eat. Staff are very attentive and there is always a good atmosphere. It is a well balanced menu with something for everyone.

This property ticks all the boxes. Smooth check-in, warm and friendly service in the cozy bar and tasty food in the well priced restaurant. Only small negative is that the wifi needs to be improved throughout. The rooms are beautifully appointed and if visiting Ayrshire, we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here a few weeks back when my son and I where attending an event in Ayr. We were made to feel welcome from every member of staff. The room was absolutely fine and very clean. Didn't have a meal here, but by the look of things the restaurant was busy which is always a good sign. The bar offered...

I ate the Christmas meal at this restaurant and I have to say I was disappointed. I haven't really been in much of late and, whilst the place is often busy, the food hasn't really changed much and was a bit disappointing. The selection of starters was limited, I had mushrooms with cheese, my wife had prawns with no sauce....

My husband and I had a beautiful meal here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first visit and we weren't disappointed. The service was excellent and the staff attentive. We both got the creamy mushrooms to start which were very tasty. For mains, we got the chicken with pink peppercorn and brandy sauce off the early...

We have eaten here with family on a number of occasions and always found a varied menu and excellently prepared dishes. The settings are great as is the service you receive. The Cullen Skink and Steaks are recommended. There is also a great bar with a fine range of whisky and beers. There is a good beer garden too for...

a cosy, comfortable, convivial Scottsh hotel, in the golfing county of Ayrshire. A couple of minutes walk from Ayr beach and overlooking the local golf course, it's ideal as a base for exploring the Clyde & Ayrshire coast. The standard of food is of the highest quality, with a lovely ambience in the bar used by both locals & guests,...
