This is the best bed and breakfast I have stayed in. Gorgeous Victorian house with period features to match. I loved all of the owner, Liz's pieces of furniture and fixtures and fittings, even down to vintage style cups and plates etc. We received a very warm welcome from both Liz and Alison. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. Scrambled...

I received a very warm welcome to this beautifully decorated property. It is centrally located close to the beach and in short walking distance of the town centre. The breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit salad followed by scrambled eggs and smoked salmon!

A warm welcome from Liz, the owner. The Burnside was clean, comfortable and ideally situated to access the amenities of the town centre. The variety of choice for breakfast was outstanding and cooked to perfection. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Only a 5-10 minute walk from town centre and close to some really nice restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic! Rooms had everything you could need and were cleaned to a high standard. Would definitely recommend and can wait to visit again next time we are in Ayr.

My family and I have just spent two nights here. The house, food and the owner Liz were all fantastic! We could not fault anything at all. We have already been recommending it, and can't wait to stay again!

Hello Nadia, Great to meet you both and thanks for staying. Tell your son in law to get in touch I have looked out the Drysdale family tree in Glasgow for him! Burnside is also a family name which is why I named the Burnside after my father.. Best wishes, Liz

Really nice welcoming place to stay, quiet and the room was cosy. The only down fall was the breakfast, it wasn't a full Scottish breaky. But overall was a lovely stay and would defiantly stay again. 😀

I am sorry that your breakfast experience was not up to expectation. We endeavour to source local produce as far as possible and our full Scottish Breakfast includes Ayrshire bacon, local free range eggs, local sausage, black pudding and potato scone served with mushrooms and tomato.

I have over the past 2 years spent a number of evenings in Ayr B&Bs, all have been good, and the Burnside no different. This was an excellent choice with the owner showing us great hospitality, with the room clean and comfortable. We also had a 4 year old with us, the owner made every effort to make us all...

Many thanks for your kind words and pointing out the fault in the shower head which has since been attended to. I hope to welcome you and your family back to the Burnside again sometime in the future.
