Hello Nadia, Great to meet you both and thanks for staying. Tell your son in law to get in touch I have looked out the Drysdale family tree in Glasgow for him! Burnside is also a family name which is why I named the Burnside after my father.. Best wishes, Liz

Really nice welcoming place to stay, quiet and the room was cosy. The only down fall was the breakfast, it wasn't a full Scottish breaky. But overall was a lovely stay and would defiantly stay again. 😀

I am sorry that your breakfast experience was not up to expectation. We endeavour to source local produce as far as possible and our full Scottish Breakfast includes Ayrshire bacon, local free range eggs, local sausage, black pudding and potato scone served with mushrooms and tomato.

I have over the past 2 years spent a number of evenings in Ayr B&Bs, all have been good, and the Burnside no different. This was an excellent choice with the owner showing us great hospitality, with the room clean and comfortable. We also had a 4 year old with us, the owner made every effort to make us all...

Many thanks for your kind words and pointing out the fault in the shower head which has since been attended to. I hope to welcome you and your family back to the Burnside again sometime in the future.

Burnside Guest House is an elegant and comfortable place to stay. The room we stayed in was spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything worked and the en-suite shower room was clean and easy to use. The bed was huge and comfortable and the bedding immaculate and warm. There was lots of choice at breakfast and the cooking and ingredients were excellent....

Spent two nights here with our grandson and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very nice with good quality ingredients including home made bread. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Ayr and will recommend to friends and family.

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Burnside Guest house, with my husband and 9 year old daughter, staying in room 4, which was a family room, with a double bed and a single, with a separate shower room toilet next door. On arrival, the owner, Liz had kindly left our key for us, to allow us to...

When the four of us (friends on a cycling trip) turned up on Liz's doorstep, we were dripping wet and muddy after a day in the rain. We expected to be banished to an outhouse to clean off, but not at all - Liz invited us in, made us fresh coffee, booked us a restaurant for dinner, and even washed...
