We enjoyed our stay here. It's easy to find. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the B&B hostess. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Iona is a beautiful place and if we go back, I'd stay here again.

Upon our arrival we were greeted and shown to our room. The room was, at first, uncomfortably warm from the afternoon sun but opening a couple of windows soon remedied that. The room was clean with some lovely features like woven blankets that I would love to have at home! The restaurant is currently up for sale and closed each... More

My wife and I recently stayed three nights at Martyrs Bay Rooms while visiting the Isle of Iona. Martyrs Bay Rooms is not exactly your typical B&B it is a bit more like a small motel (using North American terminology) that is clean and simply presented with no plush extras. The big plus is the location which is mere yards... More

It is very easy to find and must be owned by the owners of the shop, bar and restaurant nearby. Friendly staff who were able to provide gluten free options for breakfast. Had good sleep but had to put the heating on as the closed window was not veery good in keeping the heat in....

Stayed 4 nights in mid august. The positives were: friendly and helpful staff, location, comfortable bed, good bathroom/shower, good breakfast. The negatives were: small room with little storage space, no lounge/sitting room (breakfast room wasn't set out for anything but breakfast but could be adapted), no drying room (essential on rainy days - there is a laundry for staff use... We stayed as a family in two twin rooms, our children are teenagers. We found this b and b a real gem of a find, lovely clean rooms, tv, wifi, ensuite and we were served breakfast by Catherine. She even made me porridge. We had large picture style windows and enjoyed watching people walking paths and you could see the... More

A few years ago this could have been viewed as one of the worst B and Bs on the planet. The breakfast, left by your door the night before covered in cling film, was particularly grim. However, improvements have been great. These are nice, smart, well cared for rooms and breakfast was simple and lovely. Catherine is a delightful host... More

Great stay with the most welcoming of staff! Ideally situated just as you get off the ferry. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Restaurant just across the way for delicious lunches and meals. Will definitely return!

The place is almost adjacent to the jetty where the ferry docks. The room we had was very good. Everything we needed was there. It is not large but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was great. The staff there were friendly and helpful. There's not a lot to say, really. One interesting point is that there is a convector heater directly underneath... More

We had four nights here and it was an excellent base for exploring the island and a trip out to Staffa. It's very close to the jetty, central to the village and only ten minutes walk from the Abbey. We had a very warm welcome, and while the rooms are modern and functional they are well-furnished and very comfortable -... More
