on Google Five stars is not enough. Fin and Lindy are sound, as are all the other campers, and locals. I was there for a week's fishing, and got good sun, sea air, a few mackerel, interesting evening chats, craic and sing songs. There is a lovely island atmosphere of respect for each other and this allows for proper relaxation on a little jewel of an island. The facilities in the campsite are top notch too and it is no surprise that people keep coming back. Six stars!

We had the most amazing three days staying in a yurt at Chleire Haven. The view from our yurt was incredible!! With a beautiful view across the south harbour. The yurt was warm and comfy with everything you could need and our own lovely decking and picnic bench. We had our puppy with us too which was welcomed by everyone which was lovely. The showers and bathrooms were so clean and tidy too. I can’t recommend Lyndy and Finbarr’s campsite enough, we will definitely be back!

One one of the loveliest camp sites anywhere - an incredible view and good kitchen and bathroom facilities. The bell tent was great for a family of four and a wonderful base from which to explore the island.

We arrived by boat to Cape Clear, which took about 45 minutes. We had the most beautiful yurt overlooking the water. It was handpainted. Finbarr and Lindy were the most friendly hosts, and kept the property so clean, from the restrooms to the shower, at the top of the incline. Our yurt had a double and a single bed, a wood heater and a gas stove. There was a large unit for ice packs to keep things refrigerated and you can get more in the yurt by the bathroom area. That yurt also has charging units for 50 cents. There is a picnic table and benches to eat outside each yurt but a small table for inside if you wanted to. There was a hungry seagull that flew around and stole some unattended biscuits that made us laugh. Bring food as most restaurants were closed by 5 PM and open at 11 AM Hours may be different now as the season started the week after we left- June 1st. The bed was very comfortable. Bring your own flashlight and towels. Lots of places to walk and each was very scenic. I went with a friend to she could do a family tree search and everyone we met was so very kind and generous with their time. Had a great tour in a small rented van with John C. ,met Ferdia in the pottery shop, Aaron at the bar, his dad Connie, who gave family tree info, Joan from the Library and so many more. You felt like family when you were there. We stayed 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. Take the boat ride to Fastnet lighthouse and hear the history. The boating staff stop the boat for seals and whales. We appreciated that. Thank you Finbarr and Lindy !…

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 2 night stay in a gorgeous yurt. We had the most amazing time, we loved every minute and didn’t want to leave! Lyndy and Finbarr were just fantastic, they were so accommodating and so welcoming and informative and nothing was a bother. The campsite is in a fantastic location and the views are phenomenal! The communal showers/toilets/sinks etc are fab and spotlessly clean. Our yurt was so cozy and so spacious as well as really private. We ordered one of the breakfast packs for our first morning which was ideal and so convenient. We had a bbq on one of the nights which was provided to us it was the business! It was exceeded my expectations and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was just the most perfect stay, so special, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you for looking after us ☺️…

Had a brilliant weekend! Stayed in a Yurt which was fantastic. Toilet and shower block was extremely clean. The views were breathtaking and the Yurt was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The kids were particularly delighted with the hot cocoa! Everyone we met on the Island was incredibly friendly. We can't wait to come back!

Excellent facilities at this wonderful campsite. Our family w/2 x kids 6 & 8yo had a fantastic time. Yurt accommodation was huge novelty especially on rainy days as it was so well equipped. Great escape from technology- we enjoyed kayaking, campfire, swimming, walks & making new little friends etc.. Big thanks to lovely staff Lyndy, Finbar & Sally for making us so welcome. V friendly & thanks to Finbar for dressing our little girls finger when she cut it! Wonderful experience & looking forward to next years trip already.

We booked this with our friends after they had stayed here a number of years ago and were returning. What a fabulous location. Situated on a picturesque site that just cascades into the second unused harbour. The view is unparalleled. We stayed in the yurts with our three young kids and it was perfect. Everything you could need , including a gas cooker. The yurt has a lovely outdoor decking space to dine. We even had a show one evening from a pod of seals that swam into the harbour. Owners were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. Facilities are very clean and plenty of hot water. Lots to do for the walking enthusiast and wonderful swimming spots. Kayaking also available. No reception on the campsite which was actually a plus for us. Really contributed to a complete break. Will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend.…

Booked a two night break with my wife. Everything was great. Lyndy collected us at the Ferry and took our luggage to the site. Yurt was perfect. Real beds! Cooker, LED lighting. Wood burner! Spotlessly clean. Dining options are limited but it's an Island.
