Declan made us feel welcome from the moment of our arrival. His old family house is beautifully decorated with antiques and the common areas are inviting and comfortable - so comfortable that my traveling companion stayed up late into the night reading in the parlor....More
We arrived jet lagged after a sleepless overnight flight to find that Declan had been able to honor our request for early check-in. After carrying our bags up to the room, he stated "sleep for 3 or 4 hours and we'll talk then!". We couldn't...More

It is probably about 1 mile into town center from Newpark House. Several quests have walked to town while we were there. You could call for a taxi. Your best bet is to contact Declan at Newpark House to see if any buses go to the shopping center about 1/4 mile up the road or how much a taxi might cost. The center of town is a lot of walking, but worth the effort to see all it's quaint nook and cranny side streets. We hope you get to enjoy it.
