As a mature couple we found the Auburn Lodge to be an excellent base to tour Clare during the day and to experience Ennis in the evening. We did not eat in the hotel as there are plenty of restaurants in the town. Our bedroom perfect as it was in the newer more modern part of the hotel beside the...

We stayed for a long weekend with two young children. The staff were nice and friendly and the leisure centre was very popular with the children. This hotel is quite dated though and needs to be modernised. It's also quite far out of town. The bar is decent although my personal taste would have preferred some irish traditional music to...

We arrived early and went to the bar for some food where they were serving carvery, the lady serving the carvery who also served breakfast is in serious need of customer service training. The staff behind the bar not the friendliest...

Hotel is old and hasn't been updated since it was built. Food is average. TV dates back to 1980s. Bathroom was old with primitive faucets. It was either very hot or very cold. Beds felt like marshmallows they were so uncomfortable. Paint is peeling off the wall. Got locked inside room when door jammed and couldn't get out. But staff...

In overall, the Auburn Lodge is a nice hotel, with charme. It is situated outside of the city-centre. We appreciated this as it was therefore quiet. You do need a car or taxi though to go into the city centre. Looking in detail at the facility we did notice that it is in dire need of renovations! The rooms were...

We stayed here while on a stag in Ennis. The willingness of the reception team to help was much appreciated and made organising a large group so much easier (thank you Helena and friends). Highly recommended!!
