The location suited us fine - easy take- off spot for exploring Kinsale and Cobh as well as Cork city. There was parking on site and ample, freshly prepared breakfasts each Day. John and Helen gave us good information regarding where to eat and routes to take to make our excursions special. One draw back - no ice for our... More

Nice room, well cleaned. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We've got lots of good suggestions of where to go to see different interesting sights. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! BR Henric and Torun

Lovely house in Cork, but I think our favorite thing was our hosts John and Helen. He had a lovely get away here, and spent an entire day walking around Cork. Their garden is absolutely beautiful and it was also fun to meet new fellow B&Bers over breakfast each morning.

Glencairn Bed and Breakfast is truly like staying at your aunt & uncle's house. John and Helen were really sweet, and helped us figure out places to go & things to do while we were there. The b&b is a short bus ride (or drive) to Cork. We used it as a home base for exploring around the Cork area.... More

Hello Ann Marie, We are sorry you did not find your stay with us comfortable. Yes, the bathroom is tiny but a person can stand up straight in front of the sink and shower. We have had very tall people stand up straight in front front of the sink and shower. There are many pictures on our Trip Advisor site... More

The trip to Cork and area was the present for my mom s 60th birthday. To say it straight out I couldn t have chosen a better accomodation other than the one from Helen & John. Although the room was little (but I had been informed about it before booking), it was well arranged. Breakfast was great and discussions were nice with the host and other guests. We followed the host recommandations for the touristic route to Killarney and enjoyed it.

We recently went to cork on a family trip. John & Helen welcomed our family, with open arms, into their beautiful home. The rooms have everything you need, en suite, tea/coffee making facilities & absolutely stunning views of their beautiful garden & the sea (from room no 1) the beds are really very comfortable too. The breakfast was extremely tasty... More

Down the little driveway it's almost like a little island. The house is surrounded by flowers and garden paths. Even the smallest room we stayed in was wonderful and furnished with all the small details you wouldn't expect. John and Helen are a lovely couple and they really accomplished it to mix the american flair into an irish BnB. Had... More
