Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We drove all the ways from Cobh Co Cork 6 hours including a 1 hour stop for a bite to eat. It was certainly worth it from start to finish. All I can say is all your food from breakfast to dinner in your beautiful restaurant and bar food was top quality one been better than the other. Full marks to all your staff for making us welcome in your beautiful Hotel overlooking the lake.

Harveys Point offers Excellence in everything they do. It is a true gem , where you will find beauty calm and tranquility . The staff are the best , the food superb and essentially it is where you can relax and re-new. It is an unique place which deserves a 5 * rating, at a minimum.

I had the pleasure to stay recently at Harvey's Point and what a truly special experience from the minute you walk through the door. The location itself is phenomenal, the food is insane, the comfort and beautiful surroundings.... But the icing on the cake is the staff especially Eamonn Gillespie, the Guest Relations Manager . Eamonn's attention to detail and personal touch is second to none and I can't wait to return. Thank you to all the team at Harvey's Point and especially Eamonn. I will be back soon, Chanel.

Harveys point is the most idyllic, relaxing hotel , I have ever stayed in . I can't begin to list all the wonderful points, especially as I couldnt find even one negative thing to say.. the personal touch was second to none , its like we were friends visiting their home as it was the warmest welcome I have ever received. From our luggage being brought to our room , the homemade cookies , a bedroom that I actually could have stayed in forever and the bathroom just was amazing!! My son has autism and the staff went totally out of their way to make sure he was happy at every moment including extra brocoli and mushy peas !! The breakfast was the best we ever had including the pancake station , food was amazing !!We played scrabble relaxing at the open fire in the bar and we never moved our car until we left 2 days later , that says everything. Harvey's Point you should be so proud of your staff and what you have created , as a carer to my son and also for my son with his autism, you gave us two amazing days of relaxation and feeling that we were important and special, I really can't thank you enough 💙 We cannot wait to return and see Eilish , Colm , Sarah and Sheila and look forward to seeing you all soon x

My family and I stayed at Harvey's Point for Valentines. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were looked after. Eamonn greeted us and arranged a trolley for our baggage. Travelling with a toddler is full on. He brought us to our rooms and explained all to us. We dined in the bar and in the restaurant. Food and service was excellent. Eamonn even presented my Mam and I with a red rose. This was a tough trip for us, as our first without my Dad. Although this is a 4 star hotel, the staff were so friendly and down to earth which made it feel homely. I of course realised after we made our trip back to Drogheda that I forgotten my dresses in the wardrobe. Eamonn to the rescue again! He located them and posted them down to me. Again, showing great attention to detail to his customers and personable touch. Thank you Eamonn and to all the lovely staff.

The highest of compliments I could pay to this Hotel, from the moment of arrival to the check out, Everyone so helpful and friendly, the waiter in the restaurant even printed out the recepie of food that I eat and complemented the chef on. The rooms top class. Highly recommend, Expensive but worth it.

If there were half points I would have given 3.5. Booked in for one night bed breakfast and 4 course evening meal at a cost of 450 euros. B&B was 350.Lovely place and setting on the lake. The rooms are the biggest rooms I have ever stayed in. 75m2 I think. Fabulous room with massive bathroom and lovely views of the lake. Nice bar and friendly chatty head barman. Selling a 30 euro bottle of Champagne for 85 euros with a 55 euro markup is just ridiculous and in my opinion shows a lack of respect for your customers. The four course meal was ok and not up to the standard you would expect. If you knew the head waiter you were well looked after but if you didn’t things weren’t so good. Smallish not very well presented guy and still waiting for him to bring the sparkling water we asked for. By contrast the head waiter for breakfast in the sparkly green jacket was friendly and energetic in looking after his guests as were the other staff. An older lady looked after us at breakfast and explained everything, she was so helpful I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. The breakfast is sensational with everything you could ever think of wanting and the fresh cod simply pan fried with a slice of lemon was delicious. Front desk staff were very pleasant and I would come back and stay here again but would probably plump for the bar food menu in the restaurant rather than the set meal.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share a review of your recent visit to Harvey's Point. We would naturally prefer if your review was more positive but we appreciate your feedback all the same. We do apologise that you felt your meal in the restaurant was not up to standard and not what you expected, I will review this with our Executive Head Chef. Like every hotel, all our beverage items are marked up, with this in mind, various factors must be considered, the location you are enjoying your beverage in, the presentation of the champagne to your table and the team member serving you your champagne so we feel 'disrespectful' is a strong word to use in this instance. Also we never have received a comment that you refer to being in a better position 'if you knew the head waiter'. We would be confident in saying that all our guest are treated equally by all our staff. However, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the hotel's lakeside surroundings, guest suite and bathroom along with breakfast. We appreciate all guest feedback, whether it is positive or negative as in this way, we can measure our progress. Rest assured that we will take your comments on board. Thank you most sincerely for sharing them with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Harvey's Point in the future. Kindest Regards, Sheila Russell Sales & Marketing Manager
