Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here in 2018 and planned a trip in May 2020 that was moved to 2022. The B&B is in a great location, rooms are spacious and bathrooms have plenty of room. The rooms have supplies for tea which was nice in the evening. Breakfast was very good. The menu is not large, but has a great variety. Our host made sure to check with us on our way in on a day when the weather had turned blustery. We enjoyed staying with Jackie and Geoff again and would stay here in the future.

We’ve traveled to Ireland on holiday 21 times over the last 23 years and when we discovered Rossmore Manor, we began including several nights each year at this world class B&B. The views of Donegal Bay from our rooms on each stay are nothing less than cinematic. The sunsets are post card views and to top it all the owners, Jackie and Geoff are attuned to assuring that each stay is a pleasure.

We received a very warm welcome from Jackie. The rooms were beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The view was amazing and Jackie explained how quickly the tide comes in so if we were walking on the shoreline we needed to watch out for the tide. Breakfast was excellent and Jackie took the trouble to explain to my grandson what some of the artefacts were from WW1. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B. Fabulous beaches nearby.

Was back at Rossmore this week with 8 basketball players. Can not say enough about the hospitality. Such a unique property with all sorts of trinkets in the different common areas from swords to body armor. Hosts have grade recommendations in town and will make any reservation for you. the breakfast one of the tops of any B&B I've been in. not limited to Irish Breakfast as they make some great pancakes (try the savory) that is more like a crepe. Waling up to the view of the lake is something I always enjoy and the stays here over the years have been nothing but fantastic!

This is not your average B&B. It is stunning. Beautiful home & you have your own suite with a beautiful view of the bay. The room we had was huge. Bed was very comfortable & by far the best B&B we have ever stayed. Jackie & Geoff were great hosts. Wish we would have had time to spend an extra day or two. Abbey hotel bar in Donegal was really good for supper & got to see a fantastic band (The Rusty Strings) playing great traditional Irish music

Hands down this gorgeous b&b is a gem and is better than the majority of hotels we have ever stayed in. Spacious rooms. Amazing views of the lakes and countryside. Friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you Jackie and Geoff. We will be back.

This B & B is out of town so you need transport to find dinner. The setting is beautiful and the room we had spacious and comfortable. It seems that showers in all accommodation in Scotland have quirky plumbing and feeble outlets and this place was no different. We enjoyed breakfast cooked specially for us instead on bain maries but the bacon is just as thick and salty as anywhere else. The welcome was warm. We would go again if the opportunity arose.

We had a very nice stay at Rossmore Manor. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view of the bay. Jackie was very helpful in giving us ideas of what to do while in Donegal, she also cooked us a delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

This B&B took our breath away. It is lovely. The house is nestled upon the side of a hill overlooking an inlet with views of the Atlantic. One can watch the tide come in and out with the vista of sheep grazing on nearby hill. Accommodations were perfect. Breakfast delicious. This place is a must stay if you’re in Donegal. The owners are friendly and so very accommodating.
