We spent 4 nights at the Aberdeen Lodge. It is a lovely place in a beautiful neighborhood with a very convenient DART and bus line into the city. Our room was very comfortable. The Lodge staff is excellent, friendly and full of helpful recommendations. Breakfast...More
This is a really nice location, if you'd rather be outside the downtown area. Easy access to downtown by public transport, but also a nice beach, local parks, restaurants and bars, and of course the fabulous lawn at facilities at the lodge. The service really...More
Been staying here for years when visiting Dublin. Always a warm welcome from Ann & Pat Keane the owners. The rooms are large and comfortable + the staff are friendly and ready to please. The breakfasts are extensive, the 'full Irish' should not be missed,...More
Lovely, charming, warm, and comfortable. Our family was visiting our daughter who was studying at UCD. Sandymount is a beautiful neighborhood easily accessible to Center Dublin by trains that run regularly. Nearby beach is perfect for walks. Tea and cookies abound. A good hotel, in a nice location, far from the noise of the center.
City center is easily reachable with DART ('Sidney Parade' stop - typically 5 minutes walk + 10/15 train).
Breakfast are good, rooms are clean.

My sister and I shared a regular twin room on the first floor facing the front. It was big enough and the beds were comfy. Sorry I cant remember room number.

Unfortunately not terribly close. Aberdeen Lodge is in Ballsbridge, a train ride south of the Liffey, and the Convention Centre is on the north side. I suggest you try somewhere closer in to Central Dublin. Good luck! 🍀
