I booked the Leeson Inn as an overnight stay for a family wedding. I emailed in advance to see if we could get in early to our room to get showered etc... this was easily accommodated and greatly appreciated. The room was a small double...More
Room was grim. Smelly brown carpet. Dirty shelves and lampshades . We were offered 2 other rooms on the same floor and decided to leave. Could not justify paying anything for this room. Disgusting. Only good point was the staff. The cleaner was very apologetic....More
This was the cheapest hotel that I could find for the dates that I was in Dublin. I don't have any complaints regarding the interior of the room: it was clean. The bathroom was older, but functional, and the sink had separate faucets for hot...More
We were allocated room 305 at the back of the hotel and were subject to loud music on Friday and Saturday night from a neighbouring outdoor club called The House. The music lasted from 11.30 to 3 a.m. My wife and I were unable to...More
Location is fantastic. Staff were lovely. However the room on the first floor had a very strong stench of damp when we arrived which we couldn't get rid of. Lots of damp marks on the ceiling. Room otherwise was fine. Nothing special but clean. Shower...More

'The hotel is not directly near any bars or pubs'???? Claire S please ignore those comments above as that particular person doesn't know what their talking about. This hotel is on Lesson Street. It is a 90-second walk to Hartigan's Pub and even less to the new Stone Leaf bar/café/restaurant - both are on the same road as hotel. If you walk towards the canal (a massive 3-minute walk at most) you're almost at O'Brien's pub, located on Sussex Street. And if you walked with purpose, you'd be at the top of Grafton Street in less than 10 minutes. Altneratively, cross the road and walk down Lr Pembroke Street and you'll be at O'Donoghue's and Doheny's & Nesbit's bars, also in less than 10 minutes. In times past, the Dubliners made their name in O'Donoghue's, and it's famous for session (traditional) Irish music.
