Dear Fran, Many thanks for your recent review. I was shocked to read your description of the evening as I was on duty myself Saturday night and the feedback from your group was very positive. Just to follow up on each point; *Your group was booked in for 7.30pm. It was 8.20pm before the last person arrived and we were...

The Schoolhouse is a beautiful place. Shame therefore about the service. We were going out for a few drinks with work colleagues and I recommended the Schoolhouse in Ballsbridge. What a mistake. There was about 10 of us and we decided to break into groups and get separate rounds of drinks. The barman openly advised us to stop this rubbish...

if my school were like this, i would have been happy everyday to go.... great atmophere, quiet , comfy rooms, wifi ok, parking and great food bar. Courtesy and simplicity. The staff was professional and helpful. Just outside city centre it offers a quiet place to rest after dublin' s life...and Ideal to explore south regions. Thanks from italy.

We stayed here on a Thursday for one night. The building itself is beautiful, with fantastic ceilings in the bar & restaurant. Mike the barman was very helpful & friendly. The night porter was also very kind & helpful (we didn't catch his name). I had the veggie breakfast & my husband had the Irish breakfast & both were delicious....

This is a great little hotel: a beautiful old building, terrific (quiet!) room, comfy bed, friendly service, free wifi, and excellent food. We stayed at The Schoolhouse on either side of an Irish-American wedding, and we could not have been happier. Highly recommended!

Great location, not too near nor too far from city centre. Helpful and thoughtful staff. Will stay again when we get the opportunity. Had one slight issue with the meal in the restaurant, and the waiter could not have been more accommodating.

Spent two nights in this hotel. This was the final of three nights in the Dublin area and was the worst o the three experiences. The rooms are very pleasing indeed and are located along lovely, clean corridors. Only gripe would be that the bathrooms are incredibly small and the hot water is hit and miss - but not worth...

Stayed for a week during WebSummit 2014, happening only a 15 minute walk down the street. Always a smile from the staff checking in and taking off in the morning. Clean, quiet and superb rooms for the price. Friendly and helpful staff in the bar and they serve some relly tasty starters and a great burger. Hoping to stay here...
