Superb location, quiet surroundings, close to airport bus. Would have liked a cooler room, even when all heating was off and exterior temperature was only 18 C it was too hot. No possibility to run the fan without having lights on. Both fans, in the room and bathroom, sounded like the takeoff of an airliner, too.

We picked this hotel for a couple of nights in Dublin based upon its location and the reviews we read on Tripadvisor. It was about as expected (which was a good thing). It's in a great location close to everything like Temple Bar and other tourist sites, but it's on a quiet street without all the noise and traffic. Room...

I recently stayed at the George Frederic Handel apartments, this was chosen after looking at the pictures on the internet. It was clean and tidy but the beds in the apartments are very worn and in urgent need of replacement. The beds are lumpy, squeaky and very uncomfortable with very little or I should say no back support. The apartments...

We chose this hotel because of the location, and it was a good choice. We could walk everywhere in Dublin that we wanted to go - Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green, O'Connell St, Grafton St. all in one direction, and the Guinness and Jameson breweries, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church in the other. Of course, it is adjacent to Temple...

Although the GFH is reasonably priced and conveniently located (very near Temple Bar but on a quiet street half a block of the Quay), I was a little concerned at first that this place might be a little sketchy. When we arrived from from the airport around 9:00 a.m., we knew it was too early to check in and asked...

Stayed one night for a business trip. It's nice not to stay in a "chain" hotel so the GFH is a good find. The location is excellent (I liked the church bells!). The room was very pleasantly decorated (maybe needed a tiny bit of touching up (the window seal), but nothing shabby) and the bathroom was very nice and a...

This hotel appears to be remodeling. My first room was a little dated. The second (I was out of Dublin for a night in the middle) was freshly painted with tasteful art. Rooms do not have AC but are spacious. The cathedral bells ring every 15 minutes. If you're light sleeper you'll easily count them.

I stayed here in April for 1 night and I would definitely stay here again. The reception staff were very helpful and we were able to check in at 10.30 when I was just hoping to drop the bags off. The room and bathroom were spacious with plenty of storage space. The mini bar had a decent collection too. Excellent...
