We dropped in for food and booze, expecting it to be cheap because the place is a hostel. The drink wasn't cheap, two pints came to $12. The food was quite affordable and the portion of chips was amazingly massive but that's all after I eventually got served. The guy, who seemed like a manager, ignored me while he chatted...

I booked through Expedia but the options given didn't include breakfast and no female dorms were available. I emailed the hostel and was able to switch to a female dorm for an extra €25 across the 3 nights I stayed. I didn't think to ask about breakfast but you could buy from the on-site cafe anyway and as it happened,...

Our room was nice and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the noise that the water pipes made at around 5AM in our room (No.405), I can only assume someone was enjoying and early morning shower. Other than this enjoyed the experience and would likely stay again for a similar weekend break with friends.

While staying here, I really enjoy the common place. People chatting, quite loud music (nothing extreme :) and so so so good hamburgers. One night was also Christmas market in here - lovely <3 Point of just 4* from me is heating on my room which made so much noise I couldn't believe it. Even if I turn it down,...

I really enjoyed my stay at here. I did find the price a bit much in a 6 bed dorm, but I did book only a few days in advance. The hostel is nice and clean with new furniture. It is slightly away from the centre of dublin but dublin is small so only about a 20min walk to other...

The Generator Hostel was a really nice place with great food, comfy beds, and an awesome lounge area with live music and a bar! It was only about a 20 minute walk from the shopping areas and sights like Trinity College, etc. I recommend it!

Lacked a few home comforts,, needed a bigger sink in room and somewhere to put toiletries. General ambience very good as were staff and cleanliness. Location was good,, not too far from Temple Bar in quite a trendy area with a 'lighthouse cinema' opposite , near a tram stop--shame the Jameson factory wasn't open (refurb)

Stayed here with 4 friends whilst we were having a weekend away. Stayed in a two bed and three bed private bedroom with ensuites. Rooms were very comfortable and relatively clean and tidy. The hostel also had decent entertainment and reasonably priced foods i.e. 8 or 9 Euros for a burger or pizza. Would definately stay there again next time...

This was my first hostel experience and I was really impressed. My friend and I were in a 6 bed female only dorm with ensuite. The room was basic but that was expected given the low price. The staff were friendly and helpful, even printing our plane tickets free of charge. Although not a very central location, the hostel was...
