My requirements for a hotel for business trips have to address 3 points:
· Good Wifi
· Comfortable bed and decent bedding
· Good Shower

Keavan's port addressed all 3, very admirably - bed was very comfortable, bedding was good, only 2 pillows on the (very large) double bed (2x twins pushed together) however 2 additional feather pillows in the wardrobe.

Shower very easy to control the temperature, and very powerful, just what is needed to wake up.

I had a family room - which was a great size and very well appointed for the cost. modern style, with a desk and chair in a separate alcove, a passageway to the main room, with the very large bed, and a sofa, along with 2x additional chairs. All of a style that worked (IMHO)

Location wise, less than a 15 min walk to Grafton Street, and Camden Street itself is “full of life”.

The pub is a Spoons, you get and (should) know what you are paying for, staff were very helpful.

I will be staying again

Chantelle was very friendly, efficient and professional when we checked in. However on entering our room we noticed that we had a shower with a "step over" bath. Unfortunately both my friend and myself would have found this extremely difficult as we both have bad knees. We then went and spoke to Jess on Reception who very quickly and easily changed us to another room with a walk in shower. Our second room was absolutely fantastic. The quality of bed, bedding, carpet, curtains and lighting were up to the usual Wetherspoon's high standard. The only other problem we had in the room was the height of the coat hangers. Both my friend and myself found it extremely difficult to reach them, and were therefore unable to use them. Everything else in the Hotel was ideal. Chantelle, Jess and Khiara were so exceptionally helpful during our stay, and could not do enough for us. Would definitely recommend this venue.

We stayed here on a Sunday Night and the room cost €72 which is probably the cheapest room rate in Dublin City Centre. The rooms and the hotel itself are brand new so everything smells new and fresh. The rooms are a really good size and the beds were really comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The Hotel also has a number of bars which are really nice and very affordable prices, much cheaper than the surrounding bars in the area. We’d definitely come back and stay in the Hotel.

Hi we visited Wetherspoons new bar/hotel today in Camden Street where they were extensively advertising the lunchtime specials both inside and outside.
There was a photographer taking pics of lots of dishes set out on a table and asking people to hold them. In exchange you could then take the cold food!
We passed on this and ordered spaghetti Alfredo and a fillet chicken burger, both from the lunch specials menu.
It was awful!
The pasta was mushy where it had been over cooked and crispy where it had been re heated in a microwave. The sauce was unidentifiable and the stringy gloopy cheese was just disgusting.
The burger had no sauce just one single lettuce leaf and a dry bun!
You get what you pay for and it was cheap (€14.80) but I wouldn’t go here again if it was free!

I would not recommend this hotel, I landed to check in and they could not find my reservation. I showed them the confirmation email and I was told to take a seat and it would be sorted. After waiting a half hour with no update from anyone I asked what was happening and I was told the manager was working on it and it would be sorted soon. As I was waiting I could hear another couple with the same problem and a staff member proceeded to tell me that this was after happening to two other couples that day. An hour later with still no update I asked if we were going to get a room or not that if we weren’t I didn’t want to waste any more time. Again I was told to wait and it would be sorted. After waiting almost an hour and a half we just left as at this stage it was clear they had overbooked and there was no room available. To say we were disappointed is an understatement, when you arrive to a hotel with a confirmation email you don’t expect hassle like that! Lucky enough we found another gorgeous hotel not to far away and after hearing what happened in Keavans Port they matched the price. The hotel was called Marlin hotel with parking right across the street which was very handy. The hotel was spotless and modern unlike keavans port

This hotel was advertised as 5 star and was really looking forward to the experience. However, I was very disappointed. The physical hotel itself is very good, and cannot fault the facilities, decor or location. The staff in Reception were very nice as well. However, the positive experiences end there.

First point I have issue with is on check in we were told that all food and drink stops being served at 8pm, including for hotel residents, in line with Government regulations. This is not the case, as laid out on gov.ie, as well as Hospitality Ireland's website. If the staff were not facilitating this due to their choice, tell us so instead of lying to us. We were then told that the hotel had negotiated an 11:30pm for New Years Eve, further lying to our faces. We did not raise this point at the time as we did not think it would have an impact on us.

That evening, after finishing dinner in the restaurant, and enjoying our drinks, we had every member of staff in the bar/restaurant loudly make noise and shout at everyone to finish up. When we said we were residents we were told it didn't matter and to either get out of the premises or into our room by 8pm. Could not even sit in the communal areas of the hotel. Could not even access the terrace for a cigarette. But the worst of all was the tone that was used when speaking to us. For a supposed 5 star experience, I have never been spoken to so rudely in any hotel, bar, restaurant or takeaway.

Physically the hotel is 5 star, but due to the rudeness of the staff, i would rate the experience low and will not be back.

Beautiful looking hotel (and bar)! The place is very tastefully decorated, and the bar is almost jaw droppingly beautiful. The rooms are so quiet too, you wouldn't think it was above a busy bar in the centre of Dublin.

The reception staff of the hotel are lovely, but I'm sad to say that's where it ends.

We booked the hotel as a last minute hotel for a Crumlin appointment with our Son, as the room rates were very cheap!

Before coming, we checked the times that children are allowed in the bar for food as we knew we had a late arrival, and the website states last orders for kids is 9.30 with them needing to vacate at 10 but hotels discretion for later. When we arrived, first thing we checked with reception was how long the kids could stay in the bar.

Around 10 minutes after sitting down, and ordering food (9.10) a very very rude security guard (Patrick) was his name, came and simply told us to "leave" and then "leave now. Tried informing him we were guests in the hotel, he was having none of it. I said we had ordered food, and he just shouted "take it away" - in front of my 11 year old. Who, might I add, he scared. He was so rude, and abrupt and there was absolutely no need for it.

He got so frustrated he walked off muttering he was getting the manager. The manager came down down and we explained the situation, and he said that their policy was children had to leave by 9 but he wasn't sure about hotel guests. So he agreed to let us stay.

It transpired that a member of staff in the bar, seen us sitting down with two kids and informed security. Instead of checking with us, or checking to see if we were guests in the hotel first. It would have been much better for the manager to have approached first.

I spoke to reception again, and they called the bar manager who all seemed to have different ideas of what the policy was and what was allowed. They all apologised, and agreed that the security guard shouldn't have approached how he did - there was no need for the aggressiveness ESPECIALLY in front of children. It's not on, and it frightened the children.

My youngest, 9 has autism and the minute the clock hit 10pm he was terrified to the point he kept asking us to leave because he feared security was going to come and kick him out!

Disgraceful carry on from the security staff. It would really put me off staying here again which is a shame because the hotel is beautiful, and the reception staff are so friendly.

I stayed in this hotel for one night. I won't beat about the Bush and it is not like me to give a bad review. The room was filthy. Public hair on toilet, blood in the shower, sink threw up someone's food or puke, I wrote my name in the dust on the table, bed not made properly, and I have the pics to back up my complaint. That is what I experienced in this hotel. Advertised as 5star on booking.com but - 5star in reality. When I emailed the hotel I was told that I should of let them come clean the room after I booked in, so infact it was my fault.. Horrible horrible hotel, and their unnamed person who replied to my email is not a people person. Bar and bar staff were great but hotel... Noooooo.

We arrived at Keavan’s Port about 6:30 am on 5/24/2022 and Brendon was the night manager. He greeted us very warmly and welcomed us to Dublin. He said that unfortunately, there were no rooms available at that time but, if we went for breakfast and checked back, there might be availability. Long story short, just after 7:00 am, he found us and took us to a room which was fairly large, spotless and very welcome after a long flight! The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We couldn’t ask for better service!! Faith and Lu were also great!! Between the 3 of them, their service was beyond the “call of duty” !! They are truly an asset to this hotel!!!
My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel for excellent service!!
And the food at the pub was very good as well!!!

We booked a room for 3 people 6 months in advance and had email confirming same. Received email whilst enroute to the hotel that they were looking forward to welcoming 2 guests.
I arrived at the hotel and was told due to error on their side they booked me a room for 2 people and the 3rd person could not stay. Dublin City was booked solid the same night and when we showed our confirmation email to the staff, the attitude was sorry not their problem. No effort to help or accommodate us or no genuine apology - AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, I have never experienced anything like it, basically told the 3rd person they could not stay over fire safety concerns
