On arrival we received a lovely warm welcome at reception, we checked in early, around 10.30am expecting to leave our bags in storage as we had adventures planned ... however our rooms were ready so we went straight up to them!
The rooms were absolutely perfect for us - nice, clean and fresh looking .
The bed was really comfy with hard and soft pillows and a cosy duvet. There is a kettle and hospitality tray which can be replenished if needed.
In the bathroom there is a lovely big walk in shower with shower gel and hand wash at the basin, mirrors front and back (so you can check your hair all round) and a magnifying mirror.
Location is perfect - just a short stroll over Ha'penny Bridge to Temple Bar area, there are plenty of bars, coffee shops close to the hotel.
The Motel One bar is open 24 hours, so after our Saturday night meal we returned and sampled Muddy Water cocktails, generous portions of Bacardi and Coke and of course Guinness!
Check out was swift and we were able to leave our bags with reception as we had a late afternoon flight.
I can highly recommend this hotel and was so pleased with our choice - thankyou to the lovely staff for making our weekend wonderful!!

Pet friendly (extra 15 € per night, a limit of only 1 pet per room) ) Our road weary mutt was made very welcome indeed, thanks all! Arnott's ((Best Car Park) is a few doors up has discounted rate of 10€ for 24hrs - An excellent rate that is hard to claim: a validation system might be easier for everyone! (You have to get the lift to the 1st floor of the car park and then follow the green pedestrian lane left from the lift to a hard-to-spot manned booth near the car exit!). Was not ideal to say the least. Otherwise though an excellent pet friendly hotel, with compact rooms (oddly for a modern build the power outlets in our rooms didn't have USB sockets). Great location too one block or so from O'Connell Street and a block away from Halfpenny Bridge that leads to the Temple Bar area.

Location, location, location. This spotlessly clean and very comfortable value for money hotel could not be in a better place. It is right in the heart of the Henry Street shopping area, next door to Arnotts, one of Dublin's iconic department stores. The Luas tram system runs right past the door, with stops in both directions no more than two minutes walk from the front of the hotel. We had a standard room, which was more than adequate, with plenty of hanging space for a short stay, as well as a very comfortable bed and pillows. Instead of the small bottles of shower gel and shampoo provided by some hotels, there was a large bottle of body and hair wash in the shower, and a large bottle of liquid soap at the sink. We did not book breakfast but were able to purchase it separately. It was continental in style. but still provided a good amount of choice with cereals, juices, breads, pastries and boiled eggs. The coffee from the machine was very good and there was a selection of teas. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the water pressure in the shower could be higher. I mentioned this when we were checking out, and the receptionist told me other guests had also mentioned it. She said the maintenance department were currently trying to deal with it. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as good quality accommodation for a short break in Dublin.

I use a wheelchair. The motel one offering for guests with accessibility needs is second to none. The wet rooms are perfection. Bed comfy. Room for me, my chair and lots of plugs, both three pin and Continental two pin.

Great location. North Lotts/Jervis has changed out of all recognition over 40 years. Lots of trendy shops, bars and eateries. The pavements are being relaid with good dropped kerbs. Only 5 mins to Temple Bar.

Downsides.

The accessible room doors can’t be bolted locked from inside. Cleaner walked in on me and my boyfriend. Not good.

The fire alarm has bright lights. They came on randomly. If it was a test no one came to assist me.

The hotel is a fairly modern building just across the river from the booming temple bar area. It’s a great location for visiting the nightlife of Dublin without being right in the thick of it. Special mention to the merchant arch pub on the river a few minutes away which had live music all weekend. I would definitely recommend.

We walked to the Guinness store house in around 25 minutes and the Jamesons distillery in 10-15 minutes.
The foyer is nice and inviting, the atmosphere within reception is relaxed which is a nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of this area of Dublin.

The bar is 24/7, hot drinks and alcohol both at responsible prices. Lots of guests used the bar while we was there for night caps in the cosy ambiance.

Reception staff were professional and sorted airport taxis with no problems.

The breakfast wasn’t bad, its €15 offering slightly more than continental but was missing any cooked items besides eggs. Plenty of choice for our 2 day stay. It’s also on till 11am which is quite handy for late nights.

Lifts were excellent all spacious, modern and readily available.

The room we had was on the 3rd floor. Modern with a queen sized bed. It had a safe and a decent tv but no fridge.
If I had one criticism it was the size of the room. The bed dwarfed the room meaning not much room suitcases etc but this is typical of a city centre hotel I suppose. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was decent.

We stayed for just one night while we celebrated my boyfriend's 30th Birthday in Dublin. The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk over h'apenny bridge to the centre & far enough away for a quiet night's sleep. We booked a standard king room and had a lovely corner room on the 4th floor with great views out overlooking the bridge. The room was very light and spacious for a city centre hotel! Tea and coffee making provided, aswell as shower gel however no shampoo/conditioner so maybe bear that in mind. Bed was very comfortable and had plugs either side of the bed which is great. They made us aware on check in that after 10pm your key card is required to access the hotel which I did appreciate for extra security. I emailed ahead to let them know we were there to celebrate a 30th birthday and they were so kind to include a cute little set up on the bed for us, thankyou so much to the housekeeping team! It was our first time staying at a Motel One hotel but I would definitely book one again. The lobby was really nice and modern, everywhere was clean. The hotel bar looked inviting too but we ran out of time to visit. Overall a really perfect stay, and great value for money. Thankyou!

Overall a very good stay. I arrived early and asked if I could leave my luggage while I explored Dublin and the receptionist offered to check me in there and then, which was great. Room was typical of Motel One, modern, great lighting and hanging space basically poles with hangars - no drawers or wardrobe. Once you understand that, then you don't have a problem.

Central to everything, it was a fantastic location, modern entrance and lobby, full of James Joyce references, well designed. My room looked inwards and from my window I saw three tall brick walls with the sky barely visible from my room (not appealing but I was there for 1 night only). In the early hours, a machine kicked off, don't know what it was but it was loud enough to wake me up and it took some time before I went back to sleep. As I had no street view, I must assume the machine belonged to the hotel and why it chose to switch on (or someone switched it on) early morning, I do not know. That was the only down side. The hotel is new as is the bed and everything else, making it pretty faultless.

Not a cheap hotel for what it is but it is Dublin and to be fair, nothing is particularly cheap there.

Motel One so central and accessible to all Dublin has to offer. Stayed in a beautifully appointed room and breakfast the following morning was so delicious and plentiful. We'd been unlucky enough to get caught up in Dublin rioting. To say that hotel was helpful would be an understatement in the extreme. The staff (particularly the manager Brian) offered a place of safety and such comfort to allcomers. A big thank you to Brian and team.

The Motel One Dublin was great. Very new hotel having opened in July 2023. It is in a great location a minute from the Ha'Penny Bridge over the River Liffey and another 5 min walk to Temple Bar. The rooms are modern, comfortable and reasonably spacious for a hotel in the heart of the city. Bed was very comfortable and the shower large with good pressure. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a bar with 24 hour service available. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I was to ever be back in Dublin in the future.

Perfectly located hotel....BUT.....in the 2 nights that we stayed, we were harassed by druggies and homeless people.
We chose motel one because we like their brand, but, we don't expect to be sat in the bar area, to be harrased by homeless people begging for money, or to be confronted by a group of 4 youths doing drugs!

Positives.....staff were very apologetic and very helpful.
Rooms are lovely
Bar area and reception: inviting and lively

They just need to make sure they have security on doors, or,.block one door off, next to M&S, to ensure that paying guests are not harrased.
