Excellent stay. The hosts, Peader and Joan were very accommodating. They take their business seriously, and enjoy what they do. The place was extremly clean and comfortable, and breakfasts were great. Right across from the promenade, 10 minute walk to Salthill and 12 minute walk to city center, great location. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast for one night. The location is excellent - close to the sea on a quiet road that runs parallel to the main road with off-road parking. We were met by Peadar who was friendly and personable. The room was clean, functional and quiet. It was not large and as it was a rear room the window overlooked houses to its rear. However, as we were staying for only one night this was not an issue. The Irish breakfast the next morning was excellent.

Peadar was full of advice and ready to assist with unloading etc. He arranged a taxi to the centre of Galway a short distance away - the centre is close enough to walk to and indeed we walked back after an evening being shown a number of bars and having an excellent meal out.

If we need a B&B in Galway in teh future we would definately return here.

Joan and Peadar Cunningham are the helpful, accommodating hosts of the Sunrise. We stayed 3 days, and the breakfasts have good variety and are very filling. Joan is an excellent baker, and we enjoyed her scones greatly. We stayed in the attic room, which is very quiet. The room is simple, with little adornment, and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Peadar called and arranged a taxi on our last day. Pleasant stay.

Situated right on the prom, this B&B has a prime location. However, with small rooms, questionable value for money, an unflexible breakfast time and a rather niggly and overbearing owner, we would not be rushing back.

Lovely bed and breakfast near to Galway centre, short walk or taxi ride away. Good size room and a proper single bed for the third person, as I went with my two sisters. Peadar and Joan, the owners, were lovely and made our stay very pleasant. The breakfast was made to order and was great. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone, thank you.

We spend 3 nights at the Sunrise Lodge and where really greatful for having such a home away from home. Peter hand his wife are going above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast is all you can wish for. The B&B is a nice 15 min walk from the city centre - do take the way alongside the seaside!!

We stayed at this B & B for 2 nights during our tour of Ireland in June and was welcomed by Paedar. The room we had overlooked their back yard but was clean and comfortable and the bathroom compact but usable. However, a little TLC is required - the bathroom door did not latch closed and had to be wedged shut. The lamp over the bathroom mirror did not work and the toilet bowl took several flushes before clearing.
On a more positive note, the full Irish breakfast was superb - plentiful and of very high quality - so we can still recommend this B & B.

We really liked this B&B. Unfortunately, I believe that some obnoxious Americans (also American, but we all know the type) checked in and had breakfast the same times that we did, which may have put a damper on our host's mood. He was perfectly nice and accommodating, but I think they were trying his patience (heck, they were trying ours and we didn't have to be nice).
We were checked in very quickly and there was plenty of parking. The view from the french doors looking out onto the balcony was beautiful, I wish we could have stayed more than one night! We arrived a little late in the day, so we walked to the Salthill area for dinner and for the pub scene (check out O'Connor's pub-the decor is pretty great!). This place is not too far from the center of Galway, should you like to walk to the action (about 12-15 minutes). I did notice that the wi-fi in the room tended to be bit sporadic, but we didn't really need it. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. The owner offered to help us get a ride to our kayak meeting spot and keep the car in the lot, as well as directions. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The B&B is about a 15 min walk. There are buses that go to the neighborhood, but a short taxi ride would not be too expensive if you had too many bags.
