Easy to find and received a warm welcome from hosts Matthew and Marie. Room was very clean and neat even though it was upstairs. We were driving ourselves around Ireland but if you wanted to avail yourself of public transport it was readily available to the town. Breakfast was very nice and Matthew served the meals to all the guests...

The little things really impressed me. Making sure you're full at breakfast, having any kind of tea or coffee you could want, etc. So thoughtful and attentive! The epitome of Irish hospitality. Matt and Marie are two little gems!

We stayed last night at Almara House and it was perfect. The room was very clean and tidy, we had a delicious breakfast and the hosts were really nice to us (they even drove us to the rental car place!). I would really recommend anyone to spend their holidays at Almara!

Marie looked after us so well. We caught the bus into Galway. The bus stop was right outside. So easy. Marie clearly explained how much it cost and where to catch the bus back. Push the stop button just after the College. Very comfy. Beautiful breakfast.

Stayed here two nights. The owners were welcoming and quick to help you with activities around Galway. The breakfast was hearty and plenty of room in the dining area. Ease of access was also a great benefit to staying here. Right on the main drag, yet still a quiet stay.

Lovely, clean b&b, run by a very friendly couple. Breakfast is so fresh , with a super selection of various choices... traditional Irish fry, porridge, smoothies, fruit cocktail etc.. tea and coffee anytime you like. Rooms are always spotless, beds are very comfortable, Toiletries provided. Close to Galway City. Highly recommended , great value for money.

We spent 2 nights in this B&B! The room was big, very comfortable and nice! The bed was good, the bathroom small but there was all the necessary. The owners are nice and kind! I really appreciated the home made breakfast: the first morning we had pankecakes with cream, maple syrup and fresh fruit, the second morning eggs, bacon and...

Excellent breakfast - fresh, with fresh fruit salad. Friendly couple who appreciates star gazing. Very clean and spotless place - essential to my wife. The 3 bed bedroom was just adequate - with comfy pillows etc. Free drinking water too.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Almara House in September and we wished we could have stayed longer. Loved this city so much, but our stay at the Almara played a big part as well. Marie and Matt were such lovely hosts - so welcoming and always greeting you with big smiles. We arrived early on our...
