Lets start by saying we showed up on Maura's doorstep without a reservation. Our plan was to wing it and hope we found a room close to town in each city we visited. We saw her cute house, beautiful garden and B&B sign located in walking distance to town so we decided to look up the reviews on trip advisor... More

This is an absolute hidden gem! Initially, we were en-route to a hostel nearby... instantly we fell in love with Maura's charm and hospitality. The location is excellent, within walking distance to many of the nearby attractions, bars/pubs and places to get a decent bite to eat. There was parking on site as well as tea/coffee facilities within the room.... More

We arrived at Galway in the evening, and were driving around to look for accomodation when stumbled upon Hillside B&B. Found it a beautiful and charming place for our night. It is within convenient walking distance to the city centre. The host was kind and welcoming, and was attentive to our needs. There is a car park in the house,... More

My partner and I rocked up in Galway late one Saturday evening to find that everywhere was totally booked apart from one room at the Hillside B & B. The owner was just the sweetest lady we had ever met, I was all on for putting her in my luggage and bringing her home with us!! :-) She ensured we... More

My husband arrived in Galway late one Saturday night and stopped in at this lovely looking B&B to see if they had anything available (although we were sure it would be the more expensive than what we were used to from the outside and inside). However, the charming proprietess, Maura Hardiman, gave us the only room she had left (a... More
