We did not stay here but its service must be noted. We were doing part of the Kerry Way on Monday last, when for the final hour of our walk the weather worsened considerably and we were drenched. Our plan had been to finish our walk in the black valley and get a taxi back to killarney. Unfortunately we were...

My boyfriend and I have stayed here in Black Valley Hostel for 3 days. We hired the private room which was a good deal paying 46euro per night for both of us. The room was en-suite and was kept clean. The owners were very friendly and made us feel comfortable. The hostel is located on the Kerry way so it's...

I went on a hike with a friend. The hostel was lovely, the owners very friendly and the beds were comfortable. The hostel had excellent wifi. The drying cupboard was great for drying wet boots and socks. The only inconvenience was the lack of sockets and phone signal. The bedroom had no sockets and I couldn't find any in the...

We had a 4-bed dorm which was bright and clean. Fresh white cotton sleeping sheets and pillow cases were provided. Bathrooms were spotless and showers were hot. Susan and team gave us a warm welcome and provided us with a delicious dinner (€12 for salmon) that evening and continental breakfast (€4.50) on the following morning. Would recommend this hostel for...

We stayed there for 1 night. We got double private room. It was very clean and cosy. The challenge was to get there as the roads are more bike friendly. One remark:protect yourself against midges during the summer time.Strongly recommend this place to everybody who want to disconnect from the matrix.

Nice hostel, but not one of the friendliest. This was the only hostel in County Kerry that we stayed in that charged extra for linens- 1 sheet and a pillow case. Toilets and showers were very nice. Everything was very clean. Water was not potable so we had to purify to use.
