The Ashe Hotel emerges as a favorite among guests for its prime central location, with the bonus of complimentary parking adding to its convenience. The hotel's atmosphere is frequently praised for its stylish decor and cozy vibe. While the sumptuous breakfast and spacious rooms receive high marks for comfort and amenities, the establishment is also lauded for its cleanliness and well-kept facilities. The staff's friendly and professional demeanor contributes to the hotel's acclaim, though there are occasional mentions of temperature issues in rooms and less attentive breakfast service. Despite some criticism regarding the food pricing and taste, many consider the hotel to provide excellent value.

Myself my daughter and my 6 yr old grandson stayed here for 2 nights. From air arrival and all through our stay the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. There were lots of sanitising stations around the hotel and all the staff had masks or face shields. The place looked clean. The family room was fairly roomy with all we needed. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent. The hotel is well situated and central.
The only complaints I had was the on street parking was limited. Also the weather was very warm during our stay and as we had a street front room we had to keep the windows closed at night which made the bedroom very hot and stuffy. But as I said the weather was unusually warm.
Overall an excellent stay and I would return again.

Dear jamestrehy, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review following your recent stay at The Ashe. I was delighted to read how much you and your family enjoyed your stay and how you found the hotel to offer clean and comfy rooms, excellent food and service in Alfies and an overall feeling of a safe place to stay. Due to our town centre location, we are limited with the complimentary parking that we can provide unfortunately. I will be sure to share your kind words with our hard working staff team. Thank you once again and we look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future. Warmest wishes Ruth O'Sullivan Management

Just home from a 2night stay in a beautiful suite in the Ashe hotel. The hotel is spotless, modern and almost worth every penny and more. The food in Alfie's bar was delish!
The staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming with a Special mention to majella and ciara.

(Here comes the negative)

The full Irish breakfast on our first morning was cold, not Luke warm, cold! It was sent back and the exact same breakfast (sausage and egg had a bite out of it) not even thrown into an oven or microwave returned on a slightly warmer plate. It was in edible and must have been precooked. However the freshly made omelette was great. On our second morning we didn't get breakfast at all, arrived and waited 30mins for a menu waited a further 20mins to see if our order would be taken, it wasn't and we left. The manager said there was a problem (seems to be ongoing) at checkout and we were happily compensated. (Great customer service especially, majella and ciara)

We encountered a man cleaning the terrace on returning from dinner elsewhere on Sunday night, who was very rude and aggressive when my partner stopped in what we were told was the designated smoking area at the front of the hotel.

This review may seem to have a negative tone and I apologize, but this is such a great hotel and it could be exceptional if the re-occurring malfunctions could be resolved.

I hope constructive criticism doesn't put anybody off staying here as I absolutely would stay at this hotel again but I would be booking room only.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Ashe Hotel during July 2021. The hotel's interior was beautifully decorated and maintained, including a very comfortable and welcoming bedroom complete with air conditioning (which came in handy during the heatwave). The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout, we even dined in Alfie's restaurant on three occasions during our three night stay. The wait staff were great, especially Darren from Tipperary who kept us entertained throughout.

Would highly recommend this hotel.

Booked this hotel for a couples break as I had stayed with friends last year and had been impressed by its lovely ambience. Delighted to say it has maintained its high standards of customer care. A suite upgrade is well worth it for the additional luxury and is not expensive. The food is good and the location perfect for touring Kerry. I'd have to commend all the staff from the youngsters who facilitate parking, reception staff who are outstanding, waiting staff, housekeeping and all the additional staff who help ensure that standards are maintained. Highly recommend it.

We stayed here June BH weekend with our son and friends, it was a really lovely stay, hotel very clean and beautifully decorated, staff at reception and bar were helpful and lovely. They were well prepared for there reopening, hand sanitiser stations everywhere, masks worn by staff and guests in common area. Food in the bar was good, steak on second night was a little tough and seared too much one side, but that's the only criticism I have, everything else was excellent, would definitely go back.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Car parking outside was made available on arrival. Lobbly and lounge area are nicely decorated. Stairs and bedroom corridor carpets looked shabby, could do with replacing. Room was clean but small and ours overlooked bins and was a bit noisy when bottles were being dumped. We had to have the window open as it was a very warm day/night. Dinner menu was limited but they had a vegan option which I chose (i'm not vegan) and it was a nice lasagne but it was dried out. Vegan desert was a lovely, rhubarb crumble. Hotel is conveniently situated in town centre but the town of Tralee itself is looking very sad and shabby. Disappointing.

Have to say the hotel was fabulous. The food was beautiful from the breakfast to the dinner and the cocktails were gorgeous! The room was lovely very clean. Staff I have to say were very helpful.
There were two things that I feel could be improved.

1)The car park - my god a nightmare.very limited! You literally had to sit in your car and wait until somebody left. We were told this was for guest of the hotel however this was not the case! Myself and my partner watched MANY penneys workers arrive to collect their car after 6pm which they received free parking all day at the hotels expense. I also had a debate with a woman whom told me herself was just popping into town for her shopping and wanted free parking one morning.
The ashe Hotel NEEDS to get stickers or cards that each guest displays on their car for the duration of their stay. Anyone found to be parked without this gets clamped - simple as!

2) Don't advertise extra large bed as it's just two singles pushed together that you start falling through during the night.

We were very kindly given another room with a double bed after trying to sort out the extra large bed.

So thank you to all at the ashe Hotel for a lovely stay ye went above and beyond for us.

Dear 800aislingg, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review following your recent stay at The Ashe. I was delighted to read how much you enjoyed your stay overall and I apologise that you were disappointed in a few areas. Given our town centre location, we have limited car parking spaces and it can be quite difficult to manage so we are looking at ways to ensure that priority is given to our hotel residents. Our large beds are whats called zip and link king size beds so it allows flexibility for bed configuration but you should not have been falling through it so I am glad that you accommodated in alternative accommodation. It was wonderful to see that you enjoyed dining in Alfies and received great service from our hard working team, I will be sure to share your kind words with them. Thank you once again and hopefully you will return to us in the not too distant future. Warmest wishes Ruth O'Sullivan Management

Stayed for two nights with my husband and 3 year old. We had a room with a double and a single bed which was ideal, very comfortable beds, great shower, great size room and spotless. Most of all, the air-con in the rooms was AMAZING! We got parking out front on our arrival date as well as coming back from site seeing, Ryan the attendant was very helpful unlocking the chains to let us in. Great to have the spaces at the hotel for such a central location. Sanitisers were throughout the hotel and you could see staff cleaning throughout the day which was great. We dined in the hotel both nights and the food was delish! Try the House burger with a side of onion rings! Game changer. It was an ideal base to explore Tralee, we took in Fenit, Crag Cave and Blennerville Windmill. Would recommend them all to.
