We took the option to book a mobile home early in the year. Glad we did really as with current restrictions most staycation venues are pretty well booked up. I'm not really a mobile home lover TBH as I love camping. That said the mobile was actually quite nice, clean and well presented. The only real issue I had, was that the mattress was very soft. Other than that all good. We were situated overlooking the river Nore with great scenery. The park is well maintained and kept to a reasonably good standard given the current restrictions. Social distancing can be an issue as is with everything else I suppose. This park is mainly for the little ones, with farm animal feeding times etc. It also has a kiddies playground. There is a lovely swimming area on the river Nore with lifeguards not far away in Thomas Town. Kilkenny city, Aldi & Lidl approximately half an hour drive away. I would definitely like to return to this site again and maybe camping next time.

Spent 3 nights in NoreValley in this glorious weather… beautiful setting in a great location 10m from Kilkenny city and just 35m from Tramore. The camp site is lovely and well spaced and the kids facilities playground, petting farm, tractor ride is super fun. The river walk is a beautiful stroll and the site is very safe.

The shop is quite limited but provides lovely homemade bread and scones if pre ordered.

My huge concern and enough reason which would prevent me from returning was the state and lack of cleanliness of the shower and toilet blocks. The floors were dirty, drains clogged with hair, hair stuck to unclean dirty walls, dirty underwear left for hours in the shower cubicle. The shower block rails and fittings were old rusty with cobwebs around them. Huge disappointment and by fair the worst I’ve came across of the 5 sites visited this year. Needs to be addressed urgently by management.

Another disappointment was had taken two pitches one for 3nights and one for 2nights. On night 2 we asked about the possibility of extending the second booking for the 3rd night- was asked to come back in the morning- went to the office at 9am was asked to come back at 10am, was then at 10am told the reception staff were still not available…. Little or no effort to help. Eventually got to speak to someone and was told no fully booked. That night there was was no one on that pitch numerous pitches available throughout the site… this was extremely frustrating and there was definitely the impression that availability was not fully looked into and we were just fobbed off.

Overall from start to end didn’t get the feeling of welcome and friendliness we have got in other sites. This seemed to in the main come from senior/owners rather than younger/shop/site staff whom were extremely nice.

Had a really lovely couple of days here last week. The weather was glorious which helped. Really nice helpful staff, lovely bread and pizzas went down a treat with our children. Loved the fact that the on site shop is not a rip off. The showers and toilets are dated but clean, if I had one complaint it would be the absence of hooks on the back of shower doors for ones clothes. We were on the overflow lot which was very noisy from early in the morning from the birds and animals but its a working farm and totally expected. Will return as soon as we can.

Camping with the family, we were pitched beside an amazing view, the land is very well drained, and is easy to set up as the parking is beside the grass, but without using up the grass space.
There is loads to to if your kids are in primary school, any older and they might be bored. There is a small playground and loads of farm animals to see (its a working pet farm)
The toilets, showers, cooking and washing up areas are clean (and kept clean throughout the day), the staff are very helpful and friendly. They also offer proper recycling facilities and food waste too.
Kids can fish in the Nore river (€5 for a permit) and the river walk is lovely - if you have a big wheel single buggy you could push it but there are turn stiles and rough ground so anything else would be difficult.
The animals are well cared for but I think the owls and pigs could do with more space.
The best part is that the curfew is adheared to, so when they say no noise after 11,they mean it (unlike almost every other campsite I've ever been to)
Definitely recommend

"Our" first Santa visit and this was very well organised given the current restrictions. Booked our time slot. Only a few minutes waiting, plenty of safe distancing measures employed, masks encouraged and helpful elves to chat with us with guests waiting in allocated, separate cabins. Santa was behind a plexiglass divider, but it didn't dampen the spirit. All-in-all, a nice, safe balance given the circumstances and all the staff were really helpful, and friendly.

We had a fantastic weeks holiday in Nore valley, so much to do here, fantastic play ground, animal feeding/animal walk, crazy golf, indoor pool room, table tennis, life size chess game, tractor ride and a beautiful river walk.

We found the site very well run, very friendly, well supervised and extremely child friendly.
Also on site is a comfy TV room, good campers kitchen , wash room , plenty of warm showers etc...The small onsite shop has all the necessaries for camping/ caravaning and a few treats for the kiddies. We absolutely loved the bakery service, you can order your fresh scones, apple tarts, bread, quiche and pizza's etc..... which we found fantastic!

We would highly recommend a visit to Nore valley farm and caravan park.

Booked this activity based on reviews.
My god, what a disaster of a tour.
Getting to the farm was handy because of Google maps, only for it, never seen 1 sign post.
Arrived at reception and was met by a very disinterested guy who handed us a map that looked like something a 5 year old produced.
Then onto feeding time, had to ask what every animal was and got very little feed back to what was happening.
Just no plan or structure to the tour, asked the farmer what type of bird was in the cage, he didnt know the answer.
Then we were left to our own devices and walk around the farm
Really wouldn't recommend this tour
Especially at €17

We took a day trip to Nore Valley Farm for October mid term. The website advertised an open farm with crazy golf and go karts. We were really disappointed to find the open farm is mostly ducks, geese, turkey, hens and some deer. We did get to do a feeding time which was good. But the go karts were locked up and we’d have to wait 2 hours for them to open. And the crazy golf was 3 euro a person extra on top of the 24 euro admission fee. I’m sure it’s a great place to camp but I wouldn’t recommend it as a day trip. Kia Ora farm in Gorey is comparable price but has loads more amenities and things to do.

Held our 4yo’s birthday here, between adults and kiddos; ~20 people. Their staff (particularly Chloe) couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. It was really easy going, no pressure. The kids ran free snd adored feeding the animals who all looked well cared-for, we then had a fun tractor ride down to the river and back with a great driver warning us of the “crocodile”. Supposed to have had a petting session with the animals but the kids were having too much fun in the playground and we didn’t disturb them. They very kindly gave us a discount because of this, without us asking. It IS a little old school, but that adds to its charm. And all toilets and facilities were well-maintained. Can’t recommend it highly enough for families. Or adults who’ve never had a ride on a tractor before :0)

Stayed in Nore Valley for 3 nights on a family camping holiday at the end of the summer.
Campsite is about 15 minutes from Kilkenny and loads to do in the area.
We were in pitch LV13 which had a lovely view, however a very bad slope which meant we needed a lot of blocks to level up and our door was up really high. If the back of that pitch could be leveled a bit better it would be a fantastic pitch.
The site itself has lots to do for kids, the playground and pet farm were big hits. The staff were very friendly at the petting and also the tractor ride around the farm.
Few things take away a few stars in our opinion. I went for a shower on our first morning and it was stone icy cold. I was sure I was making some mistake so left and asked the person next to me if they had hot water...they also had stone cold water. I later learnt that there are newer better showers near reception so we used those after (they were hot thank god!) But a little dirty with hairs in the plug, bottles left behind. Husband had same experience in the men's. Toilets were spotless in fairness every time I went in.
Farm was lovely and good experience for kids but a little unkempt and messy. There is a low level water trough but the bars are wider than a child's foot. Would be better if covered in mesh.
Shop available at the site for basics and treats. We forgot to order the bread but heard it was fabulous. You can use card to pay for shopping and also for activities which is handy.
Overall we would definitely return as its an excellent site for kids and we now know where the really good locations are and have sussed out the showers etc 😀
